    Fine. You convinced me Peter. I'm gonna try to button buffer more moves, not just the taunt. Very good video. I don't know if this belongs here but sometimes you can makes use inputting commands that don't exists to get what you want. For example (I can only think of one example sorry) with Bryan while performing run up b+3~f... It's better to input b+3+4 instead of b+3, because if you press b+3 perfectly, without getting b,b+3 Bryan is going to do a slash kick. But running 3+4 does not exist so the game defaults to b+3 and you don't need a frame of b before that. 1 frame of saving! Edit: the b+3+4 can of course be buffered by holding 3 during the recovery frame, then running up and pressing b+4

    Great Video Bro!. I have been working on this for over a year now. I started from learning button buffering with king to do his F,F * 1+2(holding a punch button after a punch attack) push. Then built on that for input buffering for his grab setups. This video would have saved me so many hours a year ago ha ha ha. It is still helpful to watch you go over it now. Great Video Again!.

    This is also useful in some instances that aren't immediately obvious, such as Dragunov and Bryan's combo enders. With Drag, you usually wanna follow up your screw with f+3 into rolldash into whatever ender you want, but this can be difficult after a dash since just pressing ff+3 or fff+3 will you result in other moves coming out. So, it seems like you'd need to dash, tap back to cancel the dash when your close to the opponent, and then hit f+3. However, the other method is to hit fff+3+4. Because Dragunov has no WR 3+4, this input results in f+3. This is way easier than canceling the dash, and it means that buffering either a 3 or 4 input during your screw move is very beneficial. This same technique is useful for Bryan's b+3 ender, but for a different reason. Since the back input already cancels the dash, that isn't the problem. The issue is that you'll often get WR 3 to come out instead of b+3. I've heard that this is because if you press b and 3 on the exact same frame while in a running state, you'll still get a WR 3. But if you press b+3+4 instead, you'll always get a b+3 (since he has no b+3+4 move). This one I can't exactly confirm, but you'd be hard pressed to find a Bryan player that uses this technique and doesn't think it makes the ender noticeably more consistent.

  • @PeterYMao

    @PeterYMao

    4 жыл бұрын

    Travis Spence, this is all true. As a Bryan player, I myself use this technique. Also, I do not mention it in this video as there are several videos detailing this. So I decided to show some other characters that do not have as many examples on KZread.

    Good content man, i struggle with input buffering qcf 3+4 into deathfist, it's almost impossible, any tips?

  • @PeterYMao

    @PeterYMao

    4 жыл бұрын

    Wow... you are the first person to get this right. Stuff like qcf+3+4 -> deathfist is "INPUT BUFFERING" and not button buffering. You're off to a great starter already. Now to answer your question.. things like qcf and qcb motions can not be buffered (usually). The reason is qcf for Paul is considered a stance. As a result qcf+3+4 -> deathfist can never be buffered. The only thing you can buffer in there is the down input for the qcf motion. That's it. All in all... comes down to practice and timing. Sorry bro.

    If you're holding a button to buffer (like in the point in the video where he was backdashing while holding 1) if someone hits you would that be a counterhit? I know that's not really how button buffering is supposed to be used and it was a demonstration of how inputs are stored but I'm curious as something like that could happen if you're trying to button buffer and you drop a combo for example.

  • @PeterYMao

    @PeterYMao

    2 жыл бұрын

    If you're holding a button down the game does NOT register as being "actively" press. So if you get hit, it will not be a counter hit. You will only get counter hit "during the start up of an attack." As as long as you are not doing an attack you can't get counter hit. Hope that helps.

    why is it so natural to press 1 and 4 together, or 2 and 3? i mean okay, i know im a noob ,just started to try and learn to play this game,and trust me its a chaos after mortal kombat, i clearly see that i have to put into it more, but it will be also much better experience, but guys i simply cannot imagine how to press opposite buttons at the same time, a mean how should i execute it with my fingers without pressing any other button what i doesnt need.. i play it with my thumbs (ps4 controller) ,but the only one way how can i imagine it ,is with the point finger, but i couldnt play like that >

    Playing with your thumb is not 100% advised, unless you use button binds with the shoulder buttons. Look up "claw grip" for the PS4 controller. This grip will help you input 2 button inputs better, but also button buffering should make your life a little easier.

    Well I have a question why didn't you include snake edge in brayan fundamental 101 and basic combo guide

    @@Gurdeepsingh-mp8yi snake edge is not a fundamental attack for Bryan. Against better opponents it can be reacted to. This is why you don't see any of the higher level Bryan player use it. JimmyJTran, and Knee 2 of the best Bryan players don't use it at all
