It is an improvisation on the “tarantella”, Italian dance used against the bite of the tarantula (spider)
What size jarana is it ? What's the scale and tuning ? I want to put some nylguts on my jarana as well but I don't know what tuning / gauge to use for a baroque tuning.

If I remember well, it’s 70cm length. I tune it in D (one tone lower of the baroque guitar). I recommend from 1st to 5th: 0.40, 0,50, 0,64/0,40, 0,46, 0,56. Cheers

Una jarana jarocha puede utilizarse para música barroca? Me interesa una guitarra barroca pero si son algo costosas y pensaba mejor comprar una jarana. De qué tipo me recomendaría?

Es un substituto. No es exactsmente lo mismo, pero puede valer para empezar. Yo tengo jaranas de Tacho y de Dickens. Saludos
