I’ve picked up some of those splits.

I've never even gotten close to the 2-8-10 usually just go for count and knock over the 2-8

some rumors say walter ray made a conversion of the greek church but they didn't tell me what year, so we'll never know, doug kent has to be the only one on TV that converted it.

Just imagine if that was John Madden calling the Greek Church conversion with the chalkboard: Here it is Chris: Here is where ball hits the 6-10. And BAM!!! The 6 gets assisted with the 9. Then BOOM!!! 6 hits the 7. And BOOM - the 7 swings at the 6. And BOOM - 6 into the 4.

It wasn’t a conversion but in 1996 Butch Super cut the 6 into the 4 without bouncing out of the pit (made the 4-6-10 and left the 7 when shooting the big 4).

I think the 2-8-10 has been made 3 times on PBA telecast. Dick Allen, Pete Weber and Mika Kouvuniemi all come to mind and all converted it very similiarly having the 10 pin bounce over to get the 8 pin.

It’s been made twice actually. It was made by a lefty but I can’t remember the name or telecast. (I wish I did)

I don't consider 4, 7, 10 split impossible to make but it is hard to convert every time unlike the single 10 pin or the corner pins like the 6, 10 for example.

Not sure why a 4-7-10 or 6-7-10 make the cut. There are two kinds of splits .. those that can be taken down every time when hit a certain way on the deck (not impossible and pretty common to see converted) and those that require freak luck out of the pit (almost never see converted).

it’s not an easy split even for a pro. having to nail a quarter of an inch gap with a big ass bowling ball from 60 feet away is a lot harder than you realize

@@eddie9687 you know what I realize? You’re arguing for no reason. Never said it’s easy, few splits are, but this is about “impossible” ones. Let a pro throw 1000 attempts at a 4/6 7 10, it versus a 7-10, 4-6, 8-10, big 4 etc and it’s a different animal. I’m mediocre but at it for several decades … and have made the 4/6 7 10 many times. Never made one of the others.

Done and done. I’m just saying you can’t call a split you can slide a pin to convert impossible. Don’t generally shoe up for less than $500 though.
