I forgot a pen during a geocache today and decided to walk around and ask someone near by. Turns out, the house that let me borrow their pen was the family that put the Geocache there! Every cache has a hidden surprise! :D

Haha. My uncle, who often geo caches with me, got me a box like this one, and put $20 in it for my Christmas present. I got it open in a matter of 10-15 minutes. He then grabbed my total money from Christmas, $40, stuffed it all in the box, and closed it again. Hahaha.

Doing a bit of GeoTubing during my lunch hour and I noticed the Maze image and had to take a look at it. I did one of these back in January timeframe. On a very cold day (ok cold for Houston it was about 36F or 2C.) I was about 500' from my truck and wondering if I should start trying to solve it there are take it back to the warmth of my truck. I decided to solve it there on the spot. After a few minutes and a few numb digits I got it open. That one earned a favorite point from me.

I'm new to Geocaching and have stumbled across your videos online. I would like to set up a few caches and want to make it a little more interesting than a 35mm film case. You have given me some inspiration and I have just bought 2 of the maze's above one to place in Germany where I live and one to place in Bury UK my home town.

Someone might have already mentioned this, but the way to solve this puzzle (without damaging the box or fiddling with it for ages) is to use a magnet. That way you can control where the ball goes and you can easily retrace your steps if you make a wrong turn. Without a magnet the ball easily rolls its own way and you don't know where you are in the maze anymore.

@geocachespoilers It took me about 5 mins to do one of these (exact same maze, which can be had for $15 from Amazon.com) here in Sugar Land, TX (The Maze of Piggy Bank - GC37PM2) with a windchill factor of 32F (0C) which is for this area of the country is frigging cold. I did remember my pen though. The trick is to look for the hardest path you can take when working it backwards (i.e. hardest to get the ball to actually drop into) and you're work you way to the latch.
