Grus Kalle = "Gravel Kalle" That he was to be called for many different reasons, but probably the main reason was that he would put gravel in the original gas tank! After getting a great start, he would open a hatch in the tank letting the gravel out on the track. When that wasn't allowed any more he would make wooden sticks that he would put in the front suspension so that the front would be as high a possible in the start to gain weight balance, resulting in really fast starts!
