    Tie wire some old inner tube to the inside of your brake pedal tip t ok help cushion impact when it happens. This has saved me from punching my case ALL the way through multiple times

    100% on installing threaded bar end inserts. My wrap handguards haven't budged in years, and I lay my bike down a lot. No broken bent levers, no damaged throttle tubes. Install a short gas cap vent right on the hose stub from the cap. Ditch the silly long tube.

    yeah those inserts are so much nicer than the ones they come with. I ended up stealing the little short one off my ktm that goes into the frame

    Did the fmf fatty and muffler have much effect? Did the ecu need to be relashed or anything like that once they were installed? I have a 2021 ex300 and looking for new exhaust but want to keep the process simple and not have to deal with ecu stuff. Looking for bolt on power haha. Thanks!

  • @TrailBoundco

    nope ECU flashing is fine across pipes. I run the gnarly on these bikes because I want more low end. the sherco I went from a gnarly to a fatty because the sherco has so much bottom end already!. I have noticed the 2.1 silencers (and new packing for that matter) have more bottom end, slightly but does have more

    Interested to know why you chose the EC over the EX?

  • @TrailBoundco

    @TrailBoundco

    2 жыл бұрын

    because I wanted the spring forks with the linkage, I hate the air forks for super slow 1st gear trials type riding, and my lighter weight. however I do think that I miss the EX (xc) gear box. way more shifting on the ec(xcw) thats pretty annoying..next bike I will probably get the EX to confirm I do like that gear box better on the 300 but I will swap the spring forks onto it

    @@TrailBoundco Okay thanks. I like the Explor forks with the Dal Saggio kit to give them a little more hold up. Makes the bike pretty well rounded IMO - still decent in technical terrain and ok at speed. Next bike my try an XC with the Kreft Plush Tank on air forks.

  • @TrailBoundco

    @TrailBoundco

    @@scrambled1213 was that the shepere cartridge or XP ONE? heard Dal Saggio kit come up a couple of times as a cheap update. Mikey from Deja suspension updated the xplor forks so that both the top are rebound and both bottom are compression so more adjustment then stock and its been working really good in the trials technical, but at higher speed rocky stuff its not the best. I might might put more money into suspension next build to see if I can get it more well rounded

  • @scrambled1213

    @@TrailBoundco Installed the XP One kit. Definitely a noticeable difference in how the forks stay up in the stroke making them good at speed. Maybe even a little too much hold up for technical riding with the stock XP ONE valving. Reducing the oil height in the forks seem to free the forks up enough to make them well rounded for my riding. I’m pleased with the kit, the forks have better hold up, plusher, and the clickers actually do something now. I’ve heard the Dal Saggio Sphere kit is even better. Just couldn’t justify dropping that much coin at the time. If I buy another bike with explore forks, tempted to try the MX Tech Lucky cartridges.
