I agree with Dawkins' thesis on that as that it's actually child abuse to label them as Christians/Muslims as by the same token you wouldn't call your child a liberal socialist or republican conservative. It's utter bullshit that parents get to denominate their childrens' religion or other stances on 'the great matters of life', if you will. I wouldn't mind a 'label' of atheist, since it's a NON-belief in something. So it's not really a label. It's like teaching your child when its older that Santa isn't real. That's just evidence based reality.

There is a very, VERY thin line between schizophrenia and fundamentalism. Having worked as a therapist in a mental hospital, I have run across those kind of written rants many times. I have encountered a few as well in daily life. Some are not dangerous as the themes are positive and caring. Some are dangerous as the themes are angry, judgemental, and filled with venom. In his own language, his talk is what he would describe in his own biblical language, "demonic". I am afraid this man has crossed that line and one night, he wrote his eleven pages of religious rant!! He needs serious professional help.

We're guilty for the sins of our ancestors but, gods not guilty of the immoral acts he himself did in the old testment.

It's so crazy to think that, about 10 years ago, I'd be hearing that "message from God", nodding and going "ho-hum, so true", and now, it all sounds absolutely psychotic and demented. It's so absurd to look at this stuff and see nothing but insane, delusional ramblings from a bunch of hateful, arrogant people. And It's even absurd how this very same religion can pass itself off as something peaceful and loving.

If, & I stress IF, when I die & I am brought before the christian god, I think he would have some serious 'splainin' to do. I would not bow to the god of the bible without a lot more reason than given in the bible. The god of the bible is a cruel, sick, narcissistic beast, "The most unpleasant character in all fiction."

Radical monotheism means that there is only one omnipotent and omnipresent God, creator of all that is and ever will be. To suggest that there exists another being that rivals God, that is omnipresent like God, that is so omnipotent that it can challenge the might and love of God makes Satan into another God. so, God created this being, full knowing of his intentions, he could have stopped him, but he did not, therefore, he is an accomplice. The same way, that if i were a drug dealer, my father knew of it,hated it and could stop it by some means, but didn't, he would be aiding and abetting a known criminal, effectively an accomplice.

Nah, just cunts. Religion is absolutely poisonous. It takes normal people and instead of making them progressive and accepting, it props up and fuels their petty bigotries and hatred, because they can pass the buck and say "i dont think that, god does". Its slimy and dishonest. Come to think of it, you can see why the republican party is aligned with them.

Never forget that the most loving and merciful being in the universe loves you so much that he created a special place of eternal torture and fire just for you.

If I'm going to hell for being an atheist, why would I risk trying to pretend to believe that a god exists? I'm an awful actor, and even if I wasn't, a god should see right through it. So if a god exists and the devil exists, and I've already made enemies with the god by not believing he exists, why would I also make enemies with the devil by pretending to believe the god exists?

Having been forced to attend catholic school, it was the ridiculous illogical nonesense around "original sin" sending babies to hell and condemning the non believers to eternal damnation that turned me to critical thinking and then an atheist.

As an English Major I extra appreciate Matt's impromptu editorial work. Grammar exists for a reason, kids!

A true Atheist doesn't believe in the Devil either. Just a natural balance of your life and belief in the your own cognitive abilities to reason. The facts are truly an amazing tool, when put to there true purpose. It is unbelievably refreshing to see things, without preconceptions, of a Dogmatic mind. Religion is a relic, of the Dark Ages. Fact is we are all Evolutionizing, beyond the purpose of religious control. All Cults are highly out of style. That's healthy for all mankind.

If you're a devil worshipper then why would the devil punish you in hell? And if the devil was punishing people who refused to believe in Jesus then by fulfilling that role wouldn't that mean he was serving Jesus by dealing out punishment for him?

That is what makes the molecule, (molecules = M ) Just by looking at anything the energy (string) will have a frequency that will make the mater (mass) the way you think it must be. Yes, you did that just by looking at it. Everything is made by this, yes; everything, there is nothing other than that.

I like to think of it this way; I've reached the finish line, now I just have to wait for the rest of the world.
