Danger with that hose is, that it can kink, and then you're immediately out of air.

Thanks for the video. With a compresor with a tank, the compresor stops when reaching max. pressure. What happens with this compressor when reaching a certain amount of pressure? Does it stop or does it keep on pumping? Thanks

Well, the regulator I bought for $23 off Amazon seems to be the exact one you have..but there is no adjustment screw ,just a hole straight through..inside looks like a valve with a plastic surface...I did read a guy say he popped off the cap on opposite side and used a small socket to adjust a nut inside...not sure I want to pop off that cap...but maybe they changed design...weird..thanks..Update...figured mine out. I unscrew yellow front peice take silicone diaphragm out and turn the nut clockwise makes it easier to breathe once I get my compressor I can adjust it where it needs to be...thanks UPDATE...I WAS able to fine tune mine just right it took many try's,but makes a world of difference..

just a couple of clarifying points. if you breath compressed air and hold your breath at 2 feet depth, you will almost certainly damage your lungs. If you held your breath from 10' and ascended, the impact would be catastrophic. The second point relates to your use of vinyl 'food grade' for your hose. Food grade does NOT mean safe to breath through. Vinyl, when heated/exposed to uv light degrades into toxic components. One is hydrogen chloride - ie hydrochloric acid. The final point is the use of a reserve bottle. Running out of air underwater is a potentially panic-filled situation even for experienced divers. You want as much time to plan your next move. If you are allowing your 2nd stage regulator to 'free flow', you will not have ANY reserve. When the pump stops - so does your air. Some would even suggest you have an "egress bottle" or pony tank that is independent of your Hookah System. Strapped to your chest or leg, with an independent mouthpiece and regulator is a really good idea. These are not the words of a panic filled novice. I'm an anesthesiologist who's been a certified diver since 1973. You might not live to regret it - but your family members will.

Thanks for taking the time to explain your setup...I actually bought same parts as you have here...I had no idea the boy u compressor only produces 15 psi...so are you sure about this? Did you also go with 3/8" hose? How long is it? I cut my 50ft at 21 feet so I also have 29ft peice...I was going to make pvc float/tank,but you explained it's over kill...thanks again for this valuable information

I made the hose 20 feet to limit my depth. I do notice that this depth is about the max anyway for the air

Hello, I have a scuba gear that I made myself, but it is a bit heavy. I liked your project, could you tell me what volume of air your compressor delivers? And what depth can you reach with it. Thanks!

hi,you mentioned that the second regulator is hard to inhale in 15 psi,but it can be ajusted to easy inhale,do you think if the pressure is about only 1atm(14.696psi)the second stage regulator is able to inhale?i mean on the land condition or only very shallow just the surface of water, and also the way you adjust the regulator will cause any leak?

When you dive lower than 33 ft you need to do a decompress stop for 3-5 minutes. Educate yourself before diving, even diving at 10-15 ft can cause you serious problem if you don’t have dive training. It is possible to get the bends at 15 ft. Breathing underwater is very different than just diving holding your breath.
