I feel so happy watching this video. I’ve put together what I need to do this. I am so excited to start.
Great techniques! I'm also a section-er, and it appears that most people are not, cause whenever I share progress in my insta-stories, it's not seldom I get the question of why I work in sections. But it's just as you said, I like the finished look of a section and to work the next section up to that level. Less of the ugly, and more motivation. Love that our brains work the same :)
I agree with you Bonny finishing a section as you go is my preferred way as well . When I have tried to follow a tutorial when someone is working all over I am totally confused. 😍
Wow! I didn't know someone could create stuff like that with colored pencils! Absolutely amazing! Thank you for sharing your techniques.

Thank you 🥰
great advice, nearly every picture I have done I have wanted to give up on half way through because of the ugly stage and believing I had messed the picture up. love that Hare, absolutely beautiful.
Thanks for sharing these techniques, especially about working in sections. It really makes me want to try drawing more with coloured pencils, since I always gave up half way because the "ugly stage" needs a lot of patience to get over! :)
Fantastic advice, brilliant product
Thank you!!!
I do swatch the colours, but i do it in the moment. I keep a piece of paper beside me and use it to swatch the colours as i go. It helps me find the exact colours I'm looking for. It allows for testing the colours with layering & blending right before i apply it to my drawing.
tellement utile et interessant! merci
I've treid the embosing tool with graphite pencils, to see how it works, but for me, it takes hard pressure to make the hair pop out,at least that's the picture after playing with it for an afternoon. PS Burnt Sienna,is the teddish maybe a bit brownish more earthy rereddish colour, that the roof tiles.usually small houses have. Those tiles that are build like a pyramid, to keep the rain and snow out of the roof!
Ваши работы великолепны, вы профессиональный художник или любитель, достигшей такого высокого мастерства?
Hi Bonny! Love your work and all the fantastic tips you give. I remember a while ago you mentioning apps you use to enhance unclear reference photos. Could you advise the best to use please. Many thanks x
👍This is one of the most helpful videos you’ve done. Thank you. I have been working with panpastel & pastel pencil for several years but due to an allergy I seem to be developing I am trying to get back to cp. The thing I’m struggling with the most is the whites. Those nice white highlights that go in at the end is what is frustrating and discouraging me the most. Slice tool is not working very well yet for me. I don’t like drafting film. I just bought some Rising Museum board and some Arches HP watercolor paper. Have you ever tried either?
What paper do you use?
