Short attainable goals according to your skill set G

This is great! This was very informative. Would you think these are prefer short/long term goals? I recently started playing electric and need to learn more music theory and scales, wanting to jam better. I play for my church which consist of songs from Hillsong, Bethel, Elevation Worship, etc..... I've recently JUST started learning the Major Scale than the Pentatonic Scale because i feel like the Major Scale compliments Contemporary Worship music. 1. My long time goal is to learn how to jam out of the blue and hopefully play for the church every week. 2. My short term goal is to learn the Major Scale, memorizing the pattern and fretboard, and practice with jam tracks. Would you say these are good goals? Thanks!

These are FANTASTIC goals sir! You understand the mindset perfectly. This way of thinking is going to have you consistently improving and using your instrument for really cool things!! :)
