I’m a Secretary too! Our Lady of Perpetual Help Praesidium. (Diocese of St. Augustine, FL)

I am a member of the Legion of Mary in El Salvador. In my praesidium we go to pray the rosary with old or sick people. We help with the chores of people too weak to do things for themselves, but mainly we promote the enthronement of the Sacred Heart of Jesus at the homes and also the consecration of families to our Lady.

I am an Auxiliary member of the Legion. I was actually there for this priest's sermon last Sunday.

@@kevin-gf5uzthe Legion is a worldwide organization and you normally join through a parish. The parish the priest is speaking about is in southeastern Virginia. Several Latin Mass parishes have the Legion, and we are working on extending them to more parishes. Where do you live? I’d be happy to connect with you about joining or starting a legion in your area.

Thank God I joined the Legion of Mary

Please keep this in mind; The Legion of Mary has over 10 million members, including auxiliary membership. When you take part in these acts of mercy as a Legionnaire your prayers are united with the other members. This band of brothers/sisters is victorious in the end. We have our skirmishes and not every encounter is another soul saved as we would like to see it. That's ok. Faith tells us that each seed planted is a start. The gardener will do the rest. Then there are those victories where the Legionarie is privileged to see Our Lady rescue a soul and as her instrument in reaching out to that soul you will never be the same. This is not done by one Legion member, but by an Army marching upon darkness. An army of over 10 million. I'm in my 10th year and I strongly recommend this association and hope that you will feel inspired to join a legion in your vicinity. If your parish doesn't have a Legion of Mary then find one or two heart-minded individuals like yourself and start a Presidium. The Legion of Mary helps make up her heel which crushes the head of the serpent. Who wouldn't want to be a part of that great event?

Ave Maria! Legion of Mary member since 2014. Started my council’s first young adult presidium in 2018. Handed presidency over to another in 2020 when I entered religious life. They are still thriving till date and have begun a junior praesidium and Patrician’s group. I am now an Adjutorian / Auxiliary member. Nothing disreputable with Frank Duff, his writings are exquisite and all in line with the church, he should be canonized. You must be mixing him up with some other group.
