Mackenzie Bauroth those were Death Troopers though. They act as both bodyguards for high-ranking Imperials like Moff Gideon and as kill squads. That being said, Gideon likely will need to call on some spec ops units to find and retrieve the Child from the Mandalorian. And who better to call for that job than Storm Commandos? So here’s to hoping that they’re still around after the Empire and end up appearing in Season 2.

Mackenzie Bauroth doubt it, since they don’t perform any of the roles Storm Commandos did in Legends. Which is honestly a good thing, since it means we can potentially have both Death Troopers and Storm Commandos in canon if they’re ever added.

These would be great to see in live-action, they would work so well in The Mandalorian.

This ship is so beautiful of a design. This and the Raider class Corvette gives the Empire an impressive arsenal of small ships. It is nice to see as the Empire is often always remembered for just having big star destroyers.

These guys are definitely imperial Navy Seals.

Fun fact: Thrawn employed Storm Commandos during his campaign. The Thrawn Trilogy Sourcebook confirms it. He also used Torpedo Spheres as well

Mackenzie Bauroth tbh even when I first played the game his betrayal was a minor shock but I thought he was kinda interesting a rebel turned imperial and he became a commando which is kinda cool he’s up there but I’m a thrawn and tarkin fan boy

I Loved this ship in star wars: empire at war! Those big cannons were long range, hard hitting and plain "Dyno-Mite!"

These ships are so annoying in Thrawn's campaign for EAW. They just speed boost away when they are about to die and have to chase them down with your slow ships. Well depending what your fleet make up is

@@stephenlutz6936 I thought it might've been a mod, but you didn't say and I saw other comments mentioning it in that game that also didn't name any mods. I've played plenty of Thrawn's Revenge myself, and while I know Escort Carriers are in there I don't remember seeing them very often. Still cool knowing they and Tie Hunters are in there though.

@@benquinnobi6461 I just looked back at my first comment and realized I put Thrawn's Revenge but forgot to say it was a mod, my bad. Also yeah, the Eriadu Authority was the only faction that used them and they were a pain when they were close to death and speed boost away.

That Rogue Squadron mission is one of my all time favorites because that was the first time we got to use seismic charges in the series.

I requested a vid for this ship a long time ago. Glad it's finally here. Gotta give the Storm Commandos some respect.

I've though of a 2005 meter long version of this ship called the Revenge-Class Sith Destroyer. Basically a giant shoutout to Episode 3

I always got a kinda Star Trek/ halo feel from these things, and I really wish we saw more of these

The imperial storm cammandos should be featured in a film along with separatist remnants taking on stormtroopers on geonisis. Fun fact : Dennis lawton (Wedge Antilles) is Ewan McGregor(obi-wan) uncle.

I didn’t even realise the Imperial Escort Carrier was made canon! It’s one of my favourite imperial star ships, that’s awesome!

I always loved playing with the Ty hunter in this game I especially like the escort carrier and I always loved Rogue Squadron 1 for the N64 and 3 for the GameCube I like 2 I really did but I guess I like playing more Original Stories

Well this ship was more of just to destroy some ships and capture rebels and leave the hanger part is the anti star fighter part since the tie hunters were pretty good ties to have

How the hellcan this thing be the same size as a Corvette, but carry 72 fighters when a Rebel Corvette doesn't even have room for a launch bay or carry fighters?

Looks more like a 220m frigate than a 150m Corvette.

What if they had a show about imperial storm commandos or troopers not defectors straight troopers that be awesome

The Gaming Nerd and I'd love if they all had their own cheeky personalities that let us bond with them. Like, a Stormtrooper Officer leading a squad of bros and their other close friends manning their stations aboard a SD titled something like "The Usurper" or a cruiser named "The Luminant". But unless the director and crew for the show are as passionate about it like The Mandalorian's then it's bound to flop. I'd honestly love it to be the first "Legends" live action project commissioned by Disney and start bringing back the fans that have left and are leaving their Canon behind. I'm not about to go in on their ass in this comment section but from what you've seen me type so far, my feeling about the Disney Canon is "disappointed"...

The Gaming Nerd it's because these guys end up actually "thinking" and acknowledging the horrors their leaders and they themselves really do. And all this for the sake of "security, peace, and justice" for the galaxy ? Relative peace, sure. Security, great but not infallible; rebels proved that. Justice; it depends on who's not getting invaded...

Mackenzie Bauroth I can work with that. It's just that I wouldn't want the show to stay in the general perspective of fanatical and ignorant stormtroopers for too long. But, seeing them fight for what they truly believe as a "just cause" and actually defending/liberate worlds from rebel terrorist and pirate scum would be amazing...

After Wedge shoots down Sarkli's Escort Carrier over Geonosis, his X-Wing is damaged by the explosion, which causes Wedge to lose control and crash on the planet. After the crash, Wedge's astromech droid R5 detects a leftover Jedi Starfighter still on the planet. After fighting past B1 droids still active and Sarkli's surviving crew, Wedge and R5 get the fighter to work again, which they use to get of the planet. Wedge rejoins the Rebel forces still in orbit and helps fight off the remaining Imperials in the Jedi fighter.
