Yeah, i didn't know much about CSM before Talon Of Horus + Black Legion novels and in that it says for some of the traitor marines the Siege Of Terra was only a year or two ago and for others it was hundreds of years, with time being relative in the eye

The real reason the Space Marines switched to grav tech, is so the Techmarines don't have to bother cleaning the tracks

That book states, in the same chapter nonetheless, that Inceptors dropping from orbit had become a thing the enemy learned to expect, since the Indomitus Crusade had been grinding on for over a century, yet that same enemy still doesn't know how Repulsors work. Any other traitor Legion, save for Alpha Legion, is so splintered and negligent, I'd believe it, but Iron Warriors are, for the most part, pretty much what they had been during Heresy. A Legion. All the various warbands should know this stuff. Maybe the Iron Warrior in question knew that they are fucked and decided to take his chances for the power armour withstanding the pressure for at least one second, long enough for an astartes to detobate the melta charge.

@Abserd O I honestly can't blame him too much, the gravitic field looks and acts like an air cushion, it's a lot of force sure but its dispersed over a large footprint. Without the ability to adjust the field into specific areas I think that transport may have been in for a bad time.

One of my friends asked me why I play Tau, rather than the Imperium. Answer was simple I'm man of the dawn, I'm human of dark age of technology rather that of the imperium. To see imperium rediscover the technology is very endearing to me.

Makes you wonder whether dark age of technology humans manged to make any worlds where they stockpiled excess stc and other tech, and whether Chaos is actually still keeping these worlds hidden behind warp storms, or at least to me it does, at least before Slanesh was born after the Elder assisted in its birth.

The Imperium has several tanks that are within serve of all military branches, but as always the Space Marines have the best of the best tanks that any forge world could ever produce. Gravitic Battle Tank is by far the most powerful forms mobility and no obstacles can truly slow these tanks. The enemies of mankind should fear the Imperium for we will destroy them with the rediscovery of technologies, and no one can stand against faithful servants of the Emperor.

The excitement when he said "I love them". That was rejuvenating.

Realistically there's a goid chance that these tanks would be like bumper car at the amusement park. A bit of force and the tank slams into something at huge speeds.

in lore : hard to kill with tough armor in game : 16 wounds and no invun easly killed in 1 shot by a tau commander while costing like 3 times more :Feelsbadman:

That's a commander regular Hammerhead tanks get beat. And the Astreas is king of tanks with Necron constructs and Knights being above it.

Always wondered about these things as the grav tanks weren't really a think when I last played. Gonna put this first on my playlist when I sit down with my paints tonight. :D

As an opponent to these beasts, I always say that no victory is certain as long as the repulsor is on the board. Lovin the Space Shark lore, we need more! Please let them get their own rules in 9th.

I've played most xenos armies at one point or another. Currently running: Eldar soup, Black Templars and Mechanicus. I've been recently combining BT and mech but with 9th, maybe not. Nids were my first army, those genestealers, warriors, tervigons and trygons rack up points, that's why I was asking. I miss them sometimes but I'm really getting into mechanicus, exciting times for the game.

I am huge fan of the Gravtivic tanks! When the Impulsor came out I wasn't crazy about the design. But over time it grew on me and became one of my favorite tank. I just finished my Dark Angles Impulsor, and I have plans to build at least 2-3 more of them. I loved this episode and I am excited to see where things go from here with your lore. The guy who jumped we he the Cardinal from Word Bearers episode or was that a different guy?

The Word Bearers again? Interesting. Truly like to see your amazing take on the most facinating traitor legion. Also the Charcodons? Hurts to be heretical.. Great one once again! Waiting for the Deathwatch seems so long.

I was reading a book on anti gravity last night. I found it quite difficult to put down.

Yes, I too found the notion of non-primeris not being able to use gravitic tanks a bit silly, but then I assume GW wants you to buy a squad that will go in one

I recall one of the recent novels had the Iron Warriors facing off with some Primaris of a chapter whose name eludes me; it was interesting to see one of the most "clear-headed" Chaos legions face against new blood and gadgets. Of note is one legionnaire making the mistake of thinking the Repulsor is "merely" a-grav, jumping under it with a melta charge - only to immediately get smooshed. Always wonder that happened. Guess we both finally understand the gravity of the situation.

I have yet to run one. I have some intercessors, some reivers, a couple of Phobos Lt.s, a Phobos Librarian, a Chaplain, a Cpt and a Phobos Cpt., but no Primaris vehicles yet. Well, a Redemptor. They do look...pauses to assume BALDERS'S VOICE,..."fun." Brother Balders, if I could make a small request for you to pencil in in the Future, how about a segment on the Last Wall Protocol?

He'll yeah, can you do a video about the different planets and worlds of the imperium specifically the feudal and feral worlds where the astartes recruit that be sick!!

*Horus was only as strong as his Dr. Frankenstein father, the 'god'-Emperor the Imperium of Man.* I always wondered why he created such unstable genetic mutants and then did such a piss poor job of educating them before letting them loose like packs of wilds dogs to wage war among the stars? Was it hubris? Was it blindness? Was it a desire to somehow break the deal he had made with the Warp all those years ago? And how many human souls does he need to eat before he wakes up and sees what has become of 'His' Imperium of man? (thanks for more awesome lore and stuff Baldermort)

The Primarchs were spread out through out the universe while they were will babies in the pods. All the terran born Space marines for each chapter were good to ok-ish. How ever when the Primarchs were reunited they changed the culture and the recruited from the worlds that they landed on. If they were all born and raised by the Emperor as planned things might have gone much better.

I don't know why these things get such a bad rap. I mean, their not that bad. They're kinda like a midday between tanks and transport. Personally I think their pretty neat

i have no need for chaos primaris marines, but i would like some gravitic vehicels for them, so i would have maybe a use for my 3 land speeders.

Here is a question for you, Baldemort: What determines technological progress vs technological heresy in the Imperium of Man? For example, why did Roboute Guilliman get a pass when ushering in the Primaris marines? Isn't that trying to improve upon the Emperor's already perfect work?

Hang on, Oculus? If I remember correctly, there was that one time I heard Oculus say "Hydra Dominatus"....or is this Word Bearer Alpharius too?? Throne preserve us...

i can accept the new tanks, think i acutely quite like the Repulsor, but i don't like the restrictions of passengers. i can accept that Primaris can't fit inside of Rhinos and Razorbacks, but if the vehicle can fit terminators and centurions (looking at the land raider) then Primaris should be able to fit in there. Likewise if a Repulsor can fit the massive PRimaris then there is no reason a firstborn marine can't fit inside
