I've got a 1914 in Chicago with no painted woodwork. Mostly oak trim with some doors of chestnut and mahogany.

my dreamhouse would reflect craftsman exterior. theres just something about it that is so homey

The brass tub 🛀🏽 🛁 is divine. Nice 👍🏾 piece of artwork. I wouldn’t know how clean 🧼 it. Maybe with soft soap. 🧽

@@brigettejohnson4019 I'll have to review this video and see why I felt that way since this was 3 years ago. Looking at it real quickly, I think it was because the modern furniture and fixtures took away from the 1911's craftman style. In some rooms, there's retro pillows while in other rooms, there's iron rod bed frames and metal fixtures. How ever the case, even though I wasn't a fan, you still did a great job. 😊

Ya can’t beat a craftsman home just hope u ever buys it appreciate they have a piece of Sears history n do a better job with furnishings when these style home have been lovingly restored as this one has u have a home that nothing today can compare to in my opinion if u like the open concept home then don’t buy a craftsman

Only thing wrong with this great property is where it’s located, just too crowded…

I found one where all the interior wood work and doors have been painted. How time and cost would be to strip and refinish?

Depends on how much wood there is and how large a house. Also on how "green" you wish the process to be.

The kitchen did not go with the house.

Really lovely structure and interior. Very close to period. The furniture needs a lot of help: way too bland and characterless. Looks lost inside that beautiful interior.

The kitchen must not be original as it has absolutely no attachment to the rest of the house.

I love a craftsman, but this is too dark for my liking.
