This car is a beauty! Bro I used to own this same model/year! I will tell you, never had so much fun with a car! jumping train tracks, being chased ( I wont give more details), cruising on strips, and sleeping in the back seat. man I loved my baby! so proud and happy to of owned this year of car!!! Yeah I owned the 67 Chevy Impala Brother... and I loved it!

The piece you said “idk what that is” is an external voltage regulator for your stock alternator. Your new alternator should have an internal regulator and you won’t need a new one. I took mine out when I upgraded alternators. There’s a Facebook group called 61 62 63 64 impala slots of good info on there.

Thank you! Driving it everyday helps me locate the problem areas and slowly but surly if I fix all the problems it’ll be almost like new and last another 20 something years before having to replace it again

Whats up bro. I been checking out some of your videos. You have a nice deuce. I just got one myself and I'm in the process of converting it to alternator. However, I've been trying to find a video that shows the brackets attached to the exhaust manifold, but no one has really explained that part. The aftermarket bracket that looks like a sideways F, doesn't give me any play to install my belt. Can you elaborate please. Thank you. Sick sound system BTW.

So you’re saying you can’t put your alternator belt on? I’m kinda confused what the issue is for you. The alternator bracket for me looks like and upside down hockey stick. That’s that let’s me adjust the tension on the belt. When I did put the new alternator on it was slightly different and didn’t line up correctly. So I added a few thick washers to make the belt line up straight.

@@vincentbryan1962 I'm talking about the bracket that goes on the exhaust manifold. It looks like a sideways F, it grabs the bottom of the alternator. So that part bolts on good. I also have a couple of washers to push the alt forward. But when I try to push the alt towards the motor to install the belt, it only moves about an inch cuz the alt hits the bottom bracket. So I wanted to see how you have yours installed on the bottom. Thank you for the quick response and for your willingness to help me.

Hey, where did you get the oil filler replacement cap from? What size? Does it leak?

The chrome one? I got it at advanced auto parts one day. Not sure what size I just eye balled it to see if it fit and took a chance and bought it it was cheap. Nope it doesn’t leak

I got a 67 4 door Impala that I'm trying to get up and going. Just curious, why so many grounding wires?

That’s awesome bro good luck I hope you get it going soon! As for the grounding wires I have a huge sound system. Like 15 speakers 2 subwoofers. And 4 audio batteries that I power. Everything needs a ground and a solid one at that

@@clearedhot6146 fuse would never hurt! I didn’t have one for quite some time. Added my fuses recently just for good measure
