You have to realize that the person filing the suit can put anything they want into the filing. This is evident by the absolute lack of any evidence of wrongdoing provided by Rashada and his team. It feels more like a kid and his family shooting their shot and trying to get some money after their son's football career didn't take off like he thought it would. If Rashada was some generational talent, he would have already gotten picked up and paid from a different school... not sure what UGA is paying him, but apparently it isn't enough. This will go no where... hopefully this young man gets an education, because football is not in his future.

@@505premoto check again, UF is not named in the suit nor is the UAA. UF made no offer. Only reason BN has been listed is because the kids dad, who has been selling him all over the country claims BN made a reference to the deal over the phone. Whichw as denied….hence no evidence

I believe that Florida has partial liability laws in place that might come into play. If so, it makes more sense to name as many people in a lawsuit as possible. Assuming a win, each defendant would be assigned a percentage of fault, and each would be responsible for that percentage of the judgment. But, I could be mistaken about UF law. I didn't dig too deeply.

Will this give Florida a way out of Billy’s contract if this year goes wrong.

I lost a lot of respect for Kirby Smart behind this. the fact that UGA has a player on their roster that is actively suing a rival school is at the very least terrible optics and just feels grimy.

Let's see where this lawsuit goes, I kinda think it's a joke this dude was never going to get 7 or 8 figures learn to recognize game being run on you signing a HS prospect for 7 figures is insane and would completely ruin your whole roster potentially paying some unproven kid who hasn't played a snap at the college level yet

The smear campaigns can have counter suits. This is a Pandora's box that could affect every university. A lot of kids can go after anyone that gave them any verbal indication of what they COULD get if they come.

Players have no loyalty or obligations to coaches, so you can't sue coached for doing the same. If a coach does this, then it is actually not beneficial to them, because high level talent will remember this and be weary of Florida. Moden coaches have to play this game, and this is an easy way to book a ticket to losing big talent.
