I like how she wasn't overpowered from the get go, she had to farm slimes for three whole centuries, that grind mentality is relatable, despite the fact that she intended to live and easy carefree life and didn't intend to become the most overpowered being in her world.

Yeah, this one was a surprise with how wholesome it was. It's like Bofuri, if that one kept it's chill throughout, rather than Maple starting to try to be the best, rather than just stumbling into it. Here, our protagonist just wants to have fun, and even when she's goaded into something, it's never a long term thing, just single goals.

That was pretty much the joke they were pushing just as calling the intelligent slime, Intelli, the magic slime, Magi, and the fighter slime Fighty. Even outside this specific plot arc, the other plot arcs was also about missing the obvious such as climbing the tree "dungeon" to reach the apothecary only to find that the cure for the age reduction mushroom was just the mandrake medicine she had helped bring to market and finding out they could've just rode a wyvern up to the top of the tree. It was all about what should've been obvious and trivial and inadvertently making a big deal of it.

When the video title has “killing slimes for 300 years” you know its gonna be good.

This show has been one of the best since I started watching anime. I love Azusa and her family, they have made me laugh, cry, and joy.

This and the drugstore isekai were my jam Sometimes you just wanna watch something less intense and the characters go about their lives

The type of thing where the overpowered protagonist doesn't want to be a really cool hero but just wants to live life with friends

That's not the end between similarities either. In the novels Pecora is also an idol and eventually becomes a streamer (this isn't a joke, it's in volume 8) the summary of Volume 8 being 'I never needed to be this strong - all I did was fight a goddess! But life in this world is challenging no matter what your level is. me and my freind rtn, we were grinding for the same tank but my luck at that BR was so horrible we both went from needing 140 k to me needing 120K and him needing 80K, today i grinding alone for a few hours and now i only need 40 k and he still needs 80

Rimuru: killing W H A T

As generic as the setting as premise is the wholesome nature and moral of the show elevates it. If anything it uses it's genericness to it's advantage. It's like Skyrim which is generic but fun if you treat it more as fantasy life simulator than epic RPG if you take out the main quest and just chill in the game. It dumps the whole Isekai/in a video game thing for medieval slice of life and boy does it do that well! The characters are all fantastic as well and the comedy is on point! 8/10

Love this Anime! As a side note, I've always wondered who'd be more powerful: Azusa or Lloyd Belladonna from *_Suppose a Kid from the Last Dungeon Boonies Moved to a Starter Town_*

I watched this myself then I was thinking so she casually stopped probabaly hundred year conflict between the TWO INSANELY POWERFUL DRAGONS CLANS. TOO OP.

Me: sees new video, checks description for title and watches the first episode. It has been thrilling to binge watch anime and find new titles to enjoy, some anime the recap is better imo but stilll, an amazing way to introduce new anime

I love the anime feels very heart warming and wholesome. Feel like the creators have some kind of sister complex. I can't tell if it's a little sister or a big sister complex. Depending on the perception, It seems like most of the Characters interacting with the main character seem to have a Need older sister thing. But if you look at it from the main character's point of view She so easily takes the role of being the nurturing, protective bad a** older sister.
