5:35 So true. We ALL were kids with the passions for Halloween and monsters we made in our basements. That origin deserves respect and it’s important to maintain that fan base and the starting point of passion for almost everyone to keep the reach of your masks and effects. It will keep effects artists in business in many ways. Diversifying is important in anything. You don’t want to pigeonhole yourself into just the movie business. Like you said “a strike happens and your sales go away.” You want that diversity to keep your sales alive in terms of sales as well as for the future of the business maintaining that base.

14:00 Absolutely a growing area right now. A lot of it has to do with the popularity in “merpeople” cosplayers and shows. There’s quite a few artists out there already doing silicone “accessories” for merpeople like bracers, gloves, crowns, faux shell bikini tops, pauldrons, belts and corsets, finned ears…etc. There’s a lot of interest in those items and it’s good to be thinking about.

This guy should create a company called “mobile masks” where every Halloween they have a big RV full of masks that pulls up for a few weeks etc in different towns.
