Yes, that seems to be very true. Mr. Nelson is a very good journalist, so the gap in his knowledge regarding the level of anger amongst the general populace regarding how the government is handling immigration surprised me. I suppose, however, that is better than being aware of it and then not reporting on it, as is the case with journalists working for BBC, Sky, C4 etc.. As usual, a great deal of sense spoken by Mr. Farage. His public mood barometer, as usual, is far more accurate than those of the vast majority of those in parliament.

Only last night my son was looking at the options of following numerous family members to Perth Australia. He’s an independent self employed tradesman and his wife is a nurse. There isn’t. There is a correlation between older people who make up a significant percentage of the population and NHS waiting lists. Factor in austerity and Tory cuts then you have the perfect storm. Lack of housing is also a sustained political choice over decades.

Fraser Nelson is the typical self-satisfied successful Scotsman in London. You can tell from his accent that he went to a Scottish private school. He has never had to worry about money. Even so, I'm a little shocked by his deliberate ignorance of what many people think. No, Fraser, we are not enjoying the early stages of becoming a minority in our own country. No wonder people stay on benefits when it isn't worthwhile to work because wages for dead end jobs are low. In the 1960s Germany was a high skill high wage economy and we were a low skill low wage economy. Sixty years later we still are, thanks to the ConLabLibDem uniparty, which keeps importing people from the third world instead of investing in our own people.

I'm 55 and never felt more dissociated from the political and media class. The country is obsessed with equality and diversity agendas and dismantling our identity and history. As for local Elections, turn out was tiny and this is not necessarily an endorsement of globalism. PS- I admire Fraser for having Nigel on for a genuine debate but would point out to him that UK employers are woeful at utilising the over 50s and CVs even from the over 40s I've seen regularly binned! The idea employers are sat there filled with good intention, with not a whiff of exploiting young, cheap, foreign labour, is giving me a very wry smile indeed!

Fraser Nelson speaks of integration and points to the cabinet as an example. The top 4 jobs in government are being held by a variety of diversity. Scotland is led by a man who chose to respect the values of another country over that of Scotland. Lets be honest here, what are the chances, in broad numbers that we have ended up with the very best the nation can find to lead us? You'll find the number is hundreds of thousands to one. So this isnt integration, its at best a terrible example of Positive action and at worst a clear example of positive discrimination. Fraser clearly lives in a very different world to me working in the NHS, where i see the effects of mass migration every day, i would dearly love to show him some realities.

The problem is that we have to rely on immigrants to deal with our aging population. Whilst we had freedom of movement we had a large proportion of immigrants who came here and easily returned home. Now we have immigrants who have to permanently settle and will probably bring some of their family.

If something does not change soon in this country then, horror of horrows, Enoch Powell's terrible predictions will happen. If people are never listened to by their leaders sooner or later things will sadly start to happen that will tear this country apart and surely nobody in their right mind wants that.

Poor Fraser is woefully or wilfully blind. I share much of his educated background but I see the huge problems which have resulted from having an income level for migrants set so low it is depressing wages, demoralising workers at a time of low income versus high prices. Sooner or later, Fraser and others will have to look up and see beyond the confines of London and the leafy SE England counties. Farage’s difficulty is that there is no PR system in local elections and the media have closed out the immigration debate, wisely from their left wing perspective, as they know that, if the immigration realities are made clear to the UK population, then another Brexit 2016 moment will come, and humiliate the elites … again.

I don't think it's wilful. In those parts of the country you mentioned, these issues just aren't visible.

I live in the US and I flew to London recently, and took a bus from the airport to Harrow. I would call it third-world, but many parts of New Delhi and Nairobi and Saigon are considerably more refined and genteel than parts of West and North London. And it's obviously because of mass immigration

What people don’t understand is that people feel very displaced when they leave their homelands from very far away. So while we bring in millions of people, a large percentage will not like British culture, not want to integrate and not bring anything to the community they choose to live in. It’s normal for people to not fit in to a country that they have no connection with. Now multiply that with lots of different communities and you have a very dislocated country. This is already happening. And our culture is and will suffer.

@@primordialpouch565 yes, I noticed from the census Reading has gone from 3/4 White British to 2/3 in just 10 years and on course to be a minority by mid 2030s. quite some change from the 90s.

Even people that are not born in uk agree with Nigel because they got children in uk and thinking of their futures Nigel stand up and we will all be behind you

It’s certainly true that it was immigration - or rather FOM - that motivated many people to vote Leave, but I don’t think you could ever claim that Brexit was “about immigration” and certainly not non-EU legal immigration which was never anything to do with the EU. And to be fair, I don’t think the official Leave campaign ever claimed anything of the sort either, nor that it would reduce overall immigration - simply that it would end FOM for EU citizens and introduce a points system, both of which have happened. So you did get what you ACTUALLY voted for, just not what you HOPED you were voting for - no one deceived you.

If they all have to speak English,too get in this country!how come most of them in my neighbourhood don't!Nigel is the only one speaking the truth!out of.the two!

We are getting s#it on in every part of our lives now more than ever. But the rich boys won’t see or live with what we have to see and live with

No sign of anger at the local elections? Less than 1/4 Of voters turned up! Most people I knew only voted Tory because they didn’t want Labour running their towns, but if they had an option (most didn’t) they would have voted for reform or a truly right party.

Nigel is right about many things. He has a talent of understanding the mood of the public. He's right about the IR35 ticking timebomb. I see British companies who were previously hiring UK self-employed consultants now scrambling to replace them with overseas agencies. This will gradually erode the self-employed sector for highly skilled roles and those jobs will go overseas. Skilled workers will either need to emmigrate, retire or simply rely more and more on the welfare state. This means tax receipts will shrink, spending within the economy will shrink and benefits will increase. This will be a disaster in 10 years and will not easily be reversed.

When Fraser started talking, he was alright for a minute. Then it went drasitcally down hill. In what world has this been an OVERALL success?

in the pre-2000's world it was. Back then net migration was about 30k, and sustainable and useful.

GDP figures per cap, have DROPPED a lot over the time of increased in mass immigration.

An estimated 1,7 million illegals , 25 full Wembley stadiums already here and taking the P . A lot of questions need to be asked . What ID . do they use ? how do they claim benefits ? Etc .
