Assalam O Alaikum. I had been to China by road, back in 2002, at those time there were only 2 bus services, one was Chinese, While the other one was of Natco from Gilgit To Kashgar. It's really nice to see Taskurgan again. Bilal Beta.... The Language is Wakhi, this is Pamir Range of Mountains, start from Gilgit and goes till Uzbekistan After crossing Tajikistan. I wish to travel the whole Pamir Range one day insha'Allah. We used to travel a lot at your age, but the responsibilities stopped me. I wish to explore the Silk route. Insha'Allah 😊

I travel 12 yrs ago Beijing from U.S .I didn’t visit villages but went Olympic bird nest stadium and Forbidden city .especially main cities Museum ,church, temple and open space where people are exercise .

I don't know the situation in Tashkorgan. In any other city in China, Muslims can carry out normal activities, such as going to mosques to pray and celebrating various Muslim festivals. Muslim gatherings are larger. You can find it in every city you go to. Mosques, especially in Xi'an, have a large Muslim population and you can visit them to see how they live. Hope you have a nice stay in China!

@@sal_strazzullo Well, in a muslim majority country that should not be an issue at all. But from what I know in an atheist country or a country with other religions as well (where Islam is a minority), they either do so in a private place away from public view or in a religious institution of their own (be it a church, mosque, temple etc). At least I think China has this rule, and China is mostly atheist.

Dear Pakistan brothers, there are many Muslims in Xinjiang, Xinjiang can pray normally. There are more than 22,000 mosque in Xinjiang. You can slowly enjoy Xinjiang. Xinjiang's reality is completely different from your understanding in Western media.

⁠​⁠@@hamzabangash4956terrorism, you know it’s pretty common in countries west of China. The restrictions have largely worked in China, there hasn’t been a terrorist attack in a long time. Many of the restrictions have actually gone away now since there actually peace in the Xinjiang unlike the countries west of it.

luckily I have also traveled the same route in 20 days in 2017. it was the best experience. Traveled by road with the same route and Beijing to Islamabad by air. Seeing these videos, revived my memory.

yes , in the past a few years, roads are being paved, the town keeps expanding, the airport the museum are all newly built, the state has also built new houses for the locals before that this town was just about one main street where you can see at 10:28

Really enjoyed your vlog on China, As you have mentioned, time and again roads and landslides in pakistan, as you travelled through the region, u must have noticed the terrain difference on Pakistan side there are majestic mountains but on China side this is region is like a valley so you can build wide roads without landslides in a valley , but how can you avoid that when you are building road on the side of such high mountains, so just don't undermine your country plz there is a reason why karakoram highway considered as one of the wonder of the world, bcoz of building it on such a difficult terrain.

Thanks for this much awaited China series! Really excited to see the transformation as my father had travelled all across China in the 90s! Real change comes from socio-cultural interactions, which we can offer to the world through our cultural heritage. Our people have forgotten to be happy or celebrate anything other than some victory in sports! Gilgitis are still attached to their culture and like to preserve it. Others do it in closed spaces or none at all. We must also improve our conduct to exemplify Islam and end islamophobia, but our corrupt business and financial dealings ruin our reputation as Pakistanis. Hope the gov takes it seriously to open tourist and cultural exchange visas for Pakistanis as well, because if Chinese can come to Pakistan despite all threats, Pakistanis should be able to visit China easily as well! But maybe they want to avoid indian RAW agents and their backed TTP terrorists from entering China via Pakistan. Only government's efforts to have strict border control and cultural exchange will pave way for chinese to exercise leniency towards Uyghurs and Tashgurkan muslims.

Me too had experienced it during my 1 month business trip - in big cities Guangzhou not seen, but smaller ones example Changzhou, people wave out to us and curious to know from where we are and even wants selfie with us. People in general very nice n friendly.

Best travel series

I cross the US-Canada border and it takes 1 minute or 20 seconds to scan my passport by the US and return by Canada. Only asked why are you traveling? sometimes checked backpacks or bags, most of the time not, they are strict about Pakistan, Iran or countries with troubles. Like to travel this route, if possible, but too many hassles with my age are not good.
