The problem with texas football they never travel out of state and they normally only play in state opponent's. Texas football isn't as good as advertised

Both teams have tons of talent, Cali, Florida, Georgia and Texas are about even in talent just in different position areas. But the reason 90% of the teams lose to Cali teams when we go there or they come here is coaching. I have been screaming this for years, these other states are still running pop warner plays. Jet sweep left, jet sweep right, swing pass left, swing pass right, wr screen left, wr screen right, QB sweep left, QB draw. WTF! My daughter went to Mater Dei so I was front and center to see the difference and I coached some and against some of the players in youth ball. MD and Bosco schemes don't even look like high school football. I'm watching the QB's slide protection based on the box, call their own plays, receivers running option routes based on the coverage. These teams are still trying to out athlete everyone. That works 99% of the time when you have a superior team, but when the talent is equal scheme and coaching wins out.

Jamaal Sumler You’re correct with the current level of competition school class just truly refers to student attendance. But I’m from New Orleans living in the DFW the 6A school do have a deeper bench! But I think the Athletic Directors need to set a time and date cause only one way to see who is truly the beat team!

After watching several IMG football games, it all boils down to which team has the most resources to develop their players physically and mentally, and not necessarily D-1 talent! A common theme I find when watching IMG play other schools is, IMG outplays the other team physically and mentally! A lot of these schools come out strong against IMG, but they can't maintain that level of play for 4 quarters. The reason that IMG can play 4 quarters strong comes down to their state of the art exercise facility and maybe roster depth. IMG develops their players physically and mentally. Because IMG has more than enough resources they can further develop their 3rd and 4th string players(to a competitive level) and rotate them in the game. This does one important thing, it gives their 1st and 2nd string players time to rest. This is what allows them to play 4 quarters of high tempo football. The reason why Mater Dei is able to compete with IMG is because of solid coaching, talented and DISCIPLINED players, and a gold standard workout facility. Many of the other schools have the talent, but lack the resources to really, I mean really develop their players! Thanks for attending my TED TALK!

DVille quarterback seems like he doesn’t have an arm. Or they don’t trust his arm yet. That run game, screens and jet sweeps ain’t gone work in the playoffs.

But if ur alr in tx then sometimes u get redshirted if ur varsity player n transfer during the yr, and same applies as out of state transfer, but I meant if tx schools could recruit regionally and nationally

Would be interesting to see a tx private school that was able to get a state all star team made of all of the very best players down there with a dorm and good academic standards. They wouldn't need to get players from out of state just the best in state ones. Wouldn't allow them to play local teams unless the other team requested it or play below 6a division 1. They would be allowed to play out of state with no penalties from the UIL. Maybe they could form a conference of national private schools which would make all the scheduling easier with Large medium and small divisions. To help with travel costs maybe someone can get corporate sponsors involved. Most important strict academic controls must be in place. Just an opinion of mine what y'all think?

Saw the game live and IMG was getting stuffed in the run all day. Dville was running on them just fine,it was just mistakes that made them lose this game. Broken down coverages which happens all the time in high school. They started off strong but I don’t think their QB is good enough for this level of competition. Roderick Daniels balled out and #22 did as well,and he’s only a sophomore. Dville made plays on defense all day but when you face 4/5* recruits they are bound to make big plays.

Duncanville needs to shore up the pass D for when they play Mater Dei. MD is a great program and Duncanville needs to force the MD defense to play in coverage for long drives. Make MD run and the Duncanville corners need to keep everything in font of them. I'm an MD Alum and fan but really want a classic game like IMG v.MD was. If you can create long drives down the field MD will then play tighter and expect a fast MD defense as well.

They are still CURRENTLY ranked #1 in Texas according to Maxpreps ahead of teams like North Shore, Desoto, Katy, Westlake, Lake Travis, and Allen. So where exactly are you sitting your sources that they’re not top 3???

The intent of my comment was/is to keep it Respectful & stay positive; both for them in particular & for any Texas fans in general. Esp. during these trying times. Selfishly speaking, I'm just glad they stepped up. I'd like to see more games just like it. St. Thomas Aquinas vs. Northshore would be dope. Peace.

In my opinion dville is def good but put img up against north shore and let's see what happens. Dville is good but they aint the best in Texas.

Lol IMG is a Florida school with a bunch of kids who aren’t even from there. Nearly all of them. IMG don’t count bc they just took the best kids from Texas and Florida and California etc and have a god tier team. If they had played duncanville last year it definitely would’ve been different. North Shore would’ve been a way better match up as well

Got interested in IMG football program checked into it. Oh my god it's far past being a high school program. With the coaching staff and facilities it is amazing they ever lose. They haven't even had high school football very long. But everything there is IMPRESSIVE!!!!!!!!! They are practically a a big college program the majority of their players aren't from Florida either. If you played or play them and lose don't hang your head just do your best and move on they are tremendous ask power 5 schools that recruit there.

IMG wouldn’t have won if they weren’t able to recruit. Sure Duncanville may recruit from out of the region. But, they can’t house the players like IMG. Plus IMG recruits across the nation!

How bout we jus appreciate GREAT football. Im from Fla and gon always rep the home state, but they play some damn good football in Texas. As well as Cali, and couple more that don't get recognition they deserve Louisiana, Georgia and the DMV. Last thing there aren't no powerhouse teams that doesn't recruit at least locally. Schools borders are manipulated all the time. You cant jus be that good every year without dippn into other teams players. Its jus the way things are now

I guess you can do that with two high schools in the same school district. Any more than that and its hard to "manipulate" real attendance zones unless you have an open enrollment policy for one with the others are closed off.

Why didn’t they play at Duncanville’s field ?
