The news is all about politics and politicians. Surely, there is much more to Pakistan than politics. Her bloated administrative outfit is both corrupt and inefficient. The services her people are entitled to for education, medical care, safety and security of life and property are more or less non-existent. Cases languish in courts not for years but decades and nobody cares. The less said the better about their so-called elected representatives. It is the same with the media. No one cares that given the unsustainable growth in population in the face of limited resources, the country is headed for catastrophe and disaster. Yet, all the talk concerns petty, puerile politics and selfish, insensitive politicians. When are we going to see the elephant in the room and realise that as a consequence the only legacy we will leave behind for our children is a living hell?
