Some of these comments are so pissy. I don't hear anyone "murdering the song". I just hear a friend paying a heartfelt tribute. A tribute is not intended to duplicate the honoree's voice or version of the song. nor the hit record. I don't know who this lady is, but the sincerity and love shone forth.

@@melgrant7404 “Murdered” is one hell of a strong opinion when it’s a pretty simple and perfectly in tune cover of her friend’s biggest hit song. I presumed you’d have something to back up such a brutal assessment of it. Seems not.

Keep the Irish singers and writers coming. The world needs more Irish voices. Beautiful, tribute to an absolute legend. Rest in peace Sinead.

I was there when this was performed live at the festival. This was the highlight of the festival for me, and there was not a dry eye in the house. It was just such an emotional performance which was preceded by 2 mins of clapping in honour of sinead. Got bless. X

Doing that live was brave. What a performance. A true professional with a great voice.

As Sinead did through her life, she sang our soul. Imelda, through their shared capacity to manifest this quality, took responsibility with the audience and shared their response, to honour a generational and more than that artist and human rights voice of love and compassion. Only saw Sinead once live and was glad my daughter was there. A remakable women.

Carry her torch on for ever, Sinead did more to free the young of Ireland from the rule of Rome than 100 wars, RIP you beautiful legend

Go way out if that. Love her music and yes she was right about the church but she wasnt the catalyst. The youth of her generation (including myself) got educated. Lifting Ireland out of poverty was the catalyst. A political change that was open and outward was the catalyst. A post colonial, post civil war ecconomy that was global not and not under the yoke of the pound sterling.
