I am in awe! This is ( imo) one of the best rock songs there’s ever been! Take a moment to look up the lyrics as they are superb! The timing and the rhyming. What a tremendous second half (2 times verse and chorous, and then that long second half). Like flexing a bow tighter and tighter, and then a bit more, and then the powerful release at the end! I was smiling ear to ear, happy for Imelda and the perfect redemption of this song. It's been a long time since "Flesh, Blood,...", but it appears to be worth the wait.

I heard this just the other day and can't stop playing it! It is a fantastic song and sung here live with such passion and emotion it makes me well up. Thank you Imelda May for sharing your talent and shining a light on all out lives. Stunning. X

Aww, I jus LOVE Imelda's voice! Great track. She was on Jools Holland Later show, and was talking about women in music. She was right on the button when she said women have always made music but just haven't been featured enough on shows, gigs, programmes etc.

I'm truly blessed to have recently been able to see this icon live after following her since 2007. What an outstanding voice and human 😍

In my comment,I never mentioned Imelda trying to copy Chrissy Hynde,only that she looked like a younger Chrissy Hynde and this new song sounds like it could be a Pretenders song. Nothing wrong with seeing similarities in musicians and songs,it's something that has happened since the beginning,and I'm sure Imelda herself would possibly be grinning to herself about it.

Robert Two-hatchett-No one is trying to disrespect Imelda May with that comparison, she's of course an incredibly talented woman in her own right, it's just that with the look she has right now she looks a lot like Chrissy Hynde. It was supposed to be a compliment.

Phillip Thompson-I would happily go see Imelda May live again. I was lucky enough to go with my dad to see her perform live when she came to a small club in Glasgow during her rockabilly phase in the mid/late 2000s (back when her ex husband was her main guitarist) & it was one of the best concerts I've ever been to, she has an incredible voice.

Imelda is the heir apparent to Pat Benatar and Chrissie Hynde.

You might not realize it, but Rockabilly is pop music. Imelda's last two albums (three albums actually: I almost forgot her previous album, "Slip Of The Tongue", which was all spoken word poetry) are far less commercial than her earlier rockabilly work.

Personally I don’t think she has recovered from the split from her husband! I saw her perform live when they were still together but her new style doesn’t appeal to me. I will always prefer the spirit lifting and energetic Rockabilly vibes to mainstream mediocrity !!!
