We have absolutely no idea where Kratos will find himself at the end of next year's Ragnarök but, assuming he survives the ordeal, he'll no doubt want to move on somewhere new. Where? That's up to Santa Monica Studio, but the fans are very clearly hoping that the next lot of God Of War stories embrace the gods and monsters of ancient Egyptian mythology.
it's fair to say the Egyptian gods are clearly in the lead when it comes to the race to be Kratos' next punching bag.
In this video made by Unreal Engine 5, we tried to draw a general picture of God of War in Egypt
Huge structures, giant pharaohs, perfect sunny weather are only part of the potential of ancient Egypt that you can see in this concept.
🔷 This video is made by a fan with limited facilities and not going to be a game, it's just a recreation of how fans imagine the possible game

Dude Osiris and Anubis would be such cool boss fights.
Imagine if Ragnarok ended like this. Would have been the best ending ever. Kratos showing up to Egypt and Ra is waiting for him. Sets up for an amazing fight at the start of next game.

Instead we got an anticlimactic 5 minute battle. Honestly Thor and Odin were such underwhelmed boss battles, the ending was more concerned with setting up a spin of for boy.

@@Tekkenandgaming raganroks story as a whole was a such a let down in general. Their was no point in calling Atreus “Loki” when they literally did nothing with it.
Egyptian Mythology is most interesting and looks very great. Especially gods with animals head.

Great music choice! Fun fact that David Jaffe (creator of GoW) had an idea that the Sphynx would've been a boss, and Kratos would freeze it with Medusa's Gaze (power from the first two games).

Anubis would probably be more of an ally if he ever showed up in a future God of War game. He’s probably the chillest Egyptian god.

I've always loved and admired your work. It's incredible. graphics, concept and all are really impressive. The only thing I can complain about is how your character "walks". Same mechanics as all of the games you've teased. It works for some characters but not all, just as in this case. But you've done a tremendous job. Kudos!
This would be a good prequel to him getting to Midgard. It would explain where he went after he left Greece

There is actually a comic that chronicles Kratos' journey from Greece to Scandinavia, and he winds up awakening in Egypt at the beginning of that comic. hopefully we could get a game of something like that with Kratos interacting with other pantheons on his way to the norse lands

I think the Egypt theme would be amazing as there would be more boss fights not like gow rangarok where only kratos fights. I would have liked it if all the giants became the army of kratos and fight the Asgard army.

Love it man. The UE5 concept videos are amazing and give us a taste of what could be possible with a 200+ man team developing on the engine. The way Lumen global illumination bounces off Kratos is so good! Can’t wait to finally play some UE5 games!
A way to link between norse mythology and the egyptian's one is a scene in which Odin's ghost grabs atreus and throw him in a portal. Kratos's new journey begins to find atreus with the help of Mimir. Sidni, suggests to go with them since he has nothing left to do without his brother.
