me and my cousin were drunk in the car last night and we started talking about God while it was raining. As soon as I poured out the bottle a lightening strike lit up the sky and we both looked at each other and empty out every bottle. Today I woke up and ran across this video. His wall is my wall. I've been doing life...in the wrong way. Looking at the world, thinking that if only I lose more weight, walk more steps, eat just a little less everyday, then I'm fine. No, none of it is working like I wish it would. Yeah, I'm losing weight and inches, but I still feel empty. There has to be something more. God, I'm turning this mess over to you. Please get me back on the right path.

Hi, Ashley - don't feel alone in the weight battle. Sometimes the bodies we are forced to live in are our worst enemies when they should always be our best friends. Food is suppose to be the thing that keeps alive. It's the hardest most difficult addiction to understand when so many complex emotions are tied to it, especially as a woman. What we put in our mouthes impacts our decisions to have children, learn to swim, accept love, enjoy desert, but mostly it streals the time God gives us on this earth, shows us who our true friends are and forces us to recognize self love while beating the will to live into us. God gives us a choice daily. Each day we only 24 hours I hope you learn, much like I had too, not to allow the scale to control your joy and happiness. The right people will love your heart. But, they can only love you if YOU love you first. God uniquely designed you. He is a jealous God and I'm pretty sure he's filled with tears and heartbreak over your dislike of His masterpiece. I went from 167 to 286 lbs so please don't feel alone. I was called fat by the very men that were suppose to love me. The ones who slept beside me and crawled inside. The ones I allowed to break my sexual fast and help me disrespect my Holy Father who gave me life. The same men who didn't even honor me enough to make me a wife. So, I started running, lost weight, gained weight, fought with God and the cycle continues but the MEN they diminish as I become more discipline. What I have learned that if it's not the weight then I just find a new reason to NOT love myself - always a work in progress. The GREAT thing about it though is that it keeps me talking to God. It keeps me humble. It keeps me on my KNEES for HIM and not them. I love you with the love of God. 🩶

I have been there. And had to start all over and it was thanksgiving day and no one wanted me around but there was God and I clawed my way back to the life God gave me now. And I am so grateful for each day he has given me.

This video definitely spoke to me as I feel like a hamster on a wheel just going in circles and never getting anywhere just repeating the same day over and over. I pray to eveeryday throughout the day as well to help heal and change my mindset. I need to be the me that God intended me to be and shut down the distractions. Shut down the feeling of lack or I could or should be further than I am; knowing that I am where God needs me to be and I hear his voice clearly when I need to move or just sit in silence until I hear from God😔
