That's true. And in SJ returns 4, he even opened up about thinking whether he should stay as a leader. Yet the members still chose him because they really thought they need him as their leader.

Eunhyuk was basically the stand-in leader while Leeteuk was in the army, he is a really important part of the group and with his personality he brings them all together

But contrary to this, Leeteuk said among the members Donghae is leader material and could definitely be SJ's leader, , contrary to the image some might have of him because of how SuJu portrays him on variety shows a.k.a "dumb variety no-fun baby" hahaha I doubted a bit at first but yes, even in D&E, Hyuk said Hae is more of the decision-maker between the two of them even if Donghae always considered his Hyuk hyung as the leader after Teukkie 😁
