    Just want to say that I am very grateful for all these tutorials, they mix the visual element of Synthesia with the standard talk over yourself playing-tutorials and that helps a lot. I am a beginner with just a few days of practice, but your video on Hallelujah got me to a level where I could play it pretty good in just a day. Keep up the great work! Looking forward to learning more songs with your help! :)

    really appreciate these videos. just got into piano in this lockdown, and only just got into your channel. learning a few shall we say easy songs, only been practicing for a few weeks, but starting to get there, once I can play a few easy songs the way through, then I think its time to start learning to read sheet music while also doing more easy songs mixed with piano exercises.

    thank you sir for this lesson. you make it easy for people like me. i must hearit, see it, and do it together. i have a processing disability . i understand exactly what you are doing in my head but the process of taking it from my head to my hands becomes the challenge. this helped me significantly. so you are indeed helping people with disabilities as well. much love for that. i am slower learner but once those like me do learn whatever it is we are working on, we excell because the challenge of the repeatedtifness makes us quite confident once the skill is acquired.

  • @AJ-ep9is
    @AJ-ep9is6 жыл бұрын

    Hi Mark, just a suggestion. If you could make a full play through of the song just ahead of the tutorial in the same video that would be great. It gives us an idea of the finished product and serves as extra motivation to learn the piece! I've seen some of your play throughs in separate videos such as Nuvole Bianche and Una Mattina, but they appear to be a shorter version than the actual pieces. Did you make tutorials based off your play throughs for these two songs? Sorry for making it long!

  • @Marks_Piano

    @Marks_Piano

    6 жыл бұрын

    Hey Aj, okay let's see haha cause you made it long indeed :) Play throughs in the same video will cause youtube to mark it as a cover soI have no income. Sometimes the play through is shorter because the song is repeating later on, or I just felt like improvising a bit :) I make lessons like these based on origianl sheel music or based on the chords :) p.s. if you want to improve your piano skills to play my lessons quicker and remember them better you should definitely check out the Ultimate Piano Course on www.pgnpiano.com!

    Hey Kelly, it's normal to get a bit nervous when playing for others, or at least, to get more nervous then when playing on your own. However, I would advise you to practice enough on your own so that you gain the confidence. When you play for others keep in mind, you're playing for fun, not in the Royal Albert Hall for people who've all paid $200 to see you. So all you have to do is relax the shoulders, and enjoy yourself and have fun :)

    no version will correspond to this version, this is a chords lesson which is based on the chords above the piano and play by ear. You can always check out my sheet music on musicnotes which is here: www.musicnotes.com/l/MIDI_Mark or you can have a look at www.pgnpiano.com/lessons and then all lessons before 2016 have the slides above the piano available.

    I know this is an old comment, but I just wanted to add I'm struggling with that part as well. Also, I think the first part is only played 5 times in the original song, if I am not mistaken. This version probably has a simplified transition, which would explain why it's hard to put the different parts together when you listen to the original song.

    not really, just learn the chords it's WAY easier to remember the song, and the notes will also be 'stored in your muscle memory'.

    Hey, I did not use any sheet music for this song, and also did not create any sheet music for it. On www.pgnpiano.com/lessons you can see the list of my songs. before 2016 I have the 'pgn piano slides above the piano available', before 2019 is all based on chords so no sheets (including this lesson), and midi lessons come with sheet music on www.musicnotes.com yet I don't have sheet music for all of them yet due to the amazing amount of time it takes to process them.

    @@Marks_Piano If you didn't used any sheet for this, how did you made this educational video of it? :O " before 2019 is all based on chords so no sheets" I don't understand this that much. Did you used just chords to play all of the music? Thanks!

    @@nz.performance Yes just looking at some chords and mainly playing by ear. Also the slides I use above the piano from before are based on chords and playing by ear mainly. I hardly ever used sheet music at all.

    This is not an effective way to play, most importantly this is not how John played in any of his live or recording sessions.
