​@@mariyamiller3474they're just goofing around lol. Horses are incredibly smart and I'm pretty sure they're aware that they could absolutely level a human if they really wanted to. As in I think they know how big and strong they are, so behavior like this is literally just to fuck with their owner lol. It's definitely intimidation but it's on par with like fake-punching your friend.

And that’s only 5-6 horses. Imagine what it sounds like with 100+ horses. (It got pretty close to 100 horses I think when they filmed a Calvary charge in the 2nd or 3rd Lord of the Rings movie. Just look for a behind the scene clip about it)

Eh kinda. As a horse rider, I recently fell and my horse tried her best to dodge me, dinged her hoof on the side of my helmet though. The main concept is that a horse's self preservation is the most important thing to them. Leg injuries in their world can easily mean death. However, I do believe horses also do their best not to hurt their people. There's been so many times I could have been seriously injured or killed but was not due to the careful nature of the kind horses i know too. When a horse tells a rider "no!" with a buck, you can see their restraint compared to a broncos "ABSOLUTELY NOT GET OFF ME NOW" which they are almost all capable of doing. I say this because a horse I rode as a kid was very annoyed by me, threw me off 3 times but I kept trying. The final time she gave me a kick to go with it. I was limping and years later I still have a slight bump there, but I didn't break a bone. She could have done far worse, but the point got across that, at the time, I didn't know what I was doing and needed to change.

I had a young horse try and get out of a gate when I was letting another horse out. I shut the gate as thr horse was running down the fence line toward the closing gate. She slid to a stop and hit her head on the gate. She reared up and guess who was under her? Me! I had 400 lbs of horse dancing on me trying to get off. I felt like I had been in a car wreck. I had hoof shaped bruises on my neck, back, thigh....I got beat up by a one year old!

I actually had this happen while visiting a friend in Upstate NY. I was terrified but it was such a humbling experience. I FROZE!. They stopped and walked away except one. He stood there as if to say, "I'll wait pull yourself together." Then came to me for a pat and a rub. Simply beautiful creatures. ❤❤❤
