@@Alicettem he is definitely not a qualified psychologist. At the start of the 25k debt video (Ruda) he's referred to as someone who went through therapy and uses that experience to "help" others and during the episode with Drè he's referred to as a self help book author and entrepreneur. His website lists no qualifications or places of study. He's a very mouthy, opinionated arse with nothing professional to back up his opinions. Personally, I wouldn't take therapy from anyone who had ever needed therapy themselves without knowing their full story because who knows how mentally balanced they are? I myself used to think it was a sign of ‘weakness’ to show emotion therefore I always kept my feelings bottled up and would just never talk about my life
I hope he kept up the payments - and the best thing you heard him say was that his parents offered the £20k (and that would have been so easy to take) but he wanted to sort it himself
2700 a month back then was a huge salary and in today's money would be more. He had a good job and it's probably why his debt is bigger than usual. Most people earn and then spend more.

I really hope that the psychologist takes time to speak with the person at least somewhat off camera. Everyone uses credit cards for almost every purchase, but the main reasons are convenience and rewards points. These days, it's seen as inconsiderate if someone in line uses cash or check to pay for a purchase, because it holds up the line. Also, I get 1.5% cash back on my card puchases. I average $3k/mo ($36k/ann) in credit card purchases, which gives me $540 in cash each year (which I use to pay for birthday gifts for friends and family all year).
