If her ungodly good hearing is the result of the heavenly pact thing, and toji has the heavenly pact thing, he heard that conversation well before entering that tunnel. Idk if you watched jjk 0 but at the end right before gojo says geto was the only best friend he ever had, those flashbacks he gets are all from this season, you can even see riko and kuroi in it. It's a nice way to connect everything. It's so sad

It’s not heavenly pact , it’s heavenly restriction Heavenly restriction is a binding that some jujutsu sorcerers born with which gives you power in exchange of something you have Examples are: Mechmaru from season one who has heavenly restrictions, was born with a weak body but in exchange he has high cursed energy output and control Toji’s heavenly restriction is being born without cursed energy but in exchange has a super strong body Maki has similar heavenly restriction to toji

the beginning statement is bound to cause confusion. it would've been better if you just went with the same wording, then differentiated between Heavenly Pacts vs Regular Pacts. I know, it should be "Restriction", but it's really easy to use the words interchangeably.

@@jahhmal pact is an agreement between individuals or parties, so it’s not considered a pact , it’s restriction that effect your body or cursed energy , like mechamaru he is weak body restricted from getting outside in exchange gets high cursed energy and control, also toji is restricted from having cursed energy in exchange strong body Heavenly restriction is the official translation in season one and manga

See chapter 38. they are different yes, but the wordings aren't that important. there is no single definition to a Japanese term, which is why I'm saying that trying to use an exact name can arouse a bit of confusion. "Heavenly Pact" is fine

8:40 - Heavenly Restriction. It is important to realize every living creature on this planet is born with cursed energy, no matter the species, no matter the amount. So when Gojo says Toji has no cursed energy, it is truly a baffling confirmation, and the only explanation lies in Heavenly Restriction. Heavenly Restriction is a binding vow made with the god the moment a child is born on Earth. It is a rare occurence where god takes a particular humanly ability, and in exchange grants a supernornal ability to that baby. Primary example was Mechamaru in Season 1 where he was given huge cursed energy reserve but in exchange he was robbed of his ability to walk in any kind of light. Toji in this case was robbed of his entire cursed energy reservoir, and instead was granted peak physical prowess a human can reach. Last thing to note is, heavenly restriction is not under the control of the person, they are simply born with it. Unlike Binding vow between 2 living creatures, which Sukuna made with Yuji in season 1.

Heavenly Pact means that Toji's got no cursed energy, but enhanced physical stats, it's exactly the same as Maki's situation and opposite to a HP of Mechamaru where he's got a better cursed energy output, but a frail body

Ok, let's explain about Toji: he doesn't have cursed energy because in the jujutsu world there is something called heavenly restraint. Which would be limiting something to increase the other. In this case, it boils down to sorcerers having some limitations in exchange for having a lot of cursed energy. For example mechamaru, who has enough cursed energy to be able to control his puppets from a distance like the entire continent. In return, he was largely without his limbs. In Toji's case it's the opposite. He was born without any cursed energy but the celestial restriction caused it to heighten Toji's 5 senses and gave him innate strength prowess. Being extremely strong physically, being extremely agile. That's why he can cross barriers and dominion unnoticed. And about the worm he has around his body. Basically it's a cursed spirit he's trained to guard his arsenal.

This is Daddy Fushiguro, guys! He & Maki both are Zenin failures since Toji absolutely don't has any Cursed energy at all but Maki has it just a tiny amount, nether they have any kind of Cursed techniques. They're almost same as regular humans but with more physical strength. And still they are able to keep up with the strong sorcerers

Toji has absolutely no cursed energy but the trade off for that is his insane inhanced physical abilities like how since he has 0 ce he cant see curses but his senses are so insane he can know what they are and feel them without being able to see them

Heavenly Pact is like the binding vows that Nanami uses called “Overtime” where there is a trade off for something in return. Unlike Binding Vows which are made of free will, people are born or predestined with Heavenly Pacts. Both Maki and Toji have Heavenly Pacts where a reduction of cursed energy capacity gifts them enhanced physical abilities. I won’t say more about Maki due to spoiler reasons, but Toji essentially has zero cursed energies, leaving no residuals (making it harder for Gojo to track him), and he is way stronger than even Maki.

Chaff is reflective "confetti" essentially. It's application is mostly to disrupt tracking computers and sensor equipment by aircraft in the military. The curses blinded Gojo's Six Eyes that can perceive cursed energy and reality with an extra couple of lenses, even moreso than his Heavenly Pact erasing any cursed energy Toji could have had. The line "...get you to focus on defense" was because in truth, Toji can't deal with Gojo's actual attacks. Sure, he can take being tossed around a bit, but if he got hit directly by that Blue "wipe"? But Gojo's defense is a different story, he can negate it with the Inverted Spear of Heaven no matter how much energy Gojo puts into it. Putting Gojo on the backfoot, executing the battle just like he said he had planned "with several false starts and ends"...Toji knew exactly how to play child Gojo and had the tools and ability to pull it off, something nobody else could do. Toji's actions these past few days have set up so much of current JJK. Gojo turned the world on it's head with his birth. Toji did the same the day he killed him.

you have seen heavenly pacts/restrictions in season 1 aswell, Heavenly restrictions/pacts are pacts that jujutsu sorcerer are born with given by well "heaven or the gods" as far as we know. The difference form a normal pact is well that its on birth but also that its forced upon them, they dont get a choice or opinion on it, maki has a similar one to toji, sacrificing cursed energy for incredible physical abilities, the difference is that maki still has a tiny bit of it left while toji has absolutely 0, a lot of people also missed that mechamaru also has one but instead of losing his cursed energy and be given physical abilities it was the opposite, he got a extremely frail and sick body in exchange for being able to use a technique from massive distances together with a high production of cursed energy. ' but as demonstrated in season 1 they are not neccesarily positive, mechamaru hates it and said he would stop being a jujutsu sorcerer in a heartbeat just to get a normal body chaff has several different definitions but in this context i believe it means is that he is just throwing a large amount of useless/ weak creatues as to obstruct gojos view, one of its definitions are : material (such as strips of foil or clusters of fine wires) ejected into the air for reflecting radar waves (as for confusing an enemy's radar detection)

That's also a heavenly pact where Mechamaru didn't got any physical power but have lots of curse power. Toji is also born with heavenly pact where he got superhuman strength but didn't got any curse energy. My theory is Gojo is the only one who have a different kind of heavenly pact where he got unlimited curse power and superhuman strength. He is kind of a god in JJK universe.

mechamaru wasnt born with unlimited amounts of cursed energy. That would make him literally the top sorcerer in the series. He just got the ability to channel his cursed energy over extremely vast distances, hence why he can be safe in his little chamber while controlling puppets wherever he needs.

Mechamaru's CE isn't unlimited, and also Heavenly Pact requires a downside so if Gojo really were to have something like that it wouldn't be a Heavenly Pact. But Gojo doesn't have superhuman strength, it's just him having both Gojo clan techniques that makes him unique.
