I dropped out because i was spending my whole time watching this show

Sheldon is suppose to be a character that represents someone with a mental issue called "Autism"or "Asperger's Syndrome". Which list the following traits. Trust me, I was born with it myself: * Poor social skills. * Poorly grasping other people's emotions. * Obsessive personality. * Low tolerance. * Emotionally driven.

My favorite episode of House involved a patient with Asperger's. Dr. House even tried convincing his boss he had it. I know it has nothing to do with your informative post, but it's been bugging me for hours wondering where I've heard that word.

Sheldon is the best and his scenes with penny is what really carry this show for me.

@@olesyasreaction yeah that was funny, I think the secret to Sheldon's popularity is that yes he gets things sometimes wrong or sometimes says the wrong thing but it is done unknowingly and really he is a genuine person with a kind soul which a lot of people don't pick up on because he can be annoying. thank you for replying and I hope your enjoying the show.

IMHO, the writers on this show are second to none. The vast majority of everything said science/math related is absolutely real. There's a future episode where the small Arizona town I grew up in is briefly the setting. While the brief scene was just shot in the normal studio, they actually took the time to get facts like street names correct. That just really stood out to me because maybe 99.99% of the audience would never know they took the time to get that detail right.

@@Agentzinzan09 It was the episode where Leonard and Amy drove to Kingman AZ to pick up Sheldon after he was robbed on the train. Sheldon gives the police station's address, and you can hear him say Andy Devine Avenue, which was correct. And even though it wasn't mentioned, Kingman is famous among railroad enthusiasts because of a tanker explosion that killed a dozen firefighters and burned at least another hundred. It was so bad that every radio station was asking any person or business to bring their ice to the hospital. There's actually a video of the explosion on YT. It's still used today as an example of what NOT to do during training exercises.

Like Sheldon, I sometimes struggle with sarcasm. My brother went as far as to make me a sarcasm sign once.

The aunt of Sara's character on Roseanne (current reboot called The Conners) was/is played by Laurie Metcalf, who plays Sheldon's mom on this show. Anyway, more Roseanne/The Conners actors will show up later.

My all time favorite comedy.

2:45 Very weird to hear Sheldon swearing. He very rarely does. And the fact that he doesn't swear is a fact that comes up in later episodes. He claims it's because he grew up in a Christian household. If you watch Young Sheldon, you'll see that he is correct. There were penalties for swearing in the house that he grew up in. It wasn't a problem for him but his sister got in trouble a few times because of this. Yeah, Sheldon shares a lot of fun facts. He thrives on facts rather than feelings. That's why I love him so much. Breaking into Penny's home wasn't exactly the right thing to do, but no harm was done to Penny in this way. 5:16 Yeah, struggling to understand sarcasm is a part of his character. It's good writing by the writers. 5:49 Little did you know there was going to be an episode that explains why Leonard did not do that, but it looks like you've already seen that episode now (The Staircase Implementation, which tells the story of when Leonard first moved in). Now he has a 2nd reason: he doesn't want to move away from Penny. Episode 2 mentions Penny's sister. Fun fact: you'll eventually see more of her family, but you will never ever see her sister. They never explain why, but I'm guessing she went to prison for shooting her husband. Yeah, Penny fell in love with Leonard pretty quickly. That's because Leonard is the nicest guy that she ever knew. It's mentioned a few times that she dated many many men, but almost all of them were terrible men. Leonard and Sheldon were the only men who were ever good to her, and Sheldon has no romantic interest in her, so she fell hard for Leonard. Leonard is living proof that a great personality is more attractive than being tall or muscular or good-looking. 9:38 Agreed! 10:40 But he didn't get the girl. She said "No arousal," which meant that she wasn't interested in him (at the time. Yes, I know that she dates him later on). Of course, Sheldon was not a robot. But he wanted to be one. He made a robotic version of himself later on. No one could ever forget that episode. 13:14 No. Sheldon's point what that Leonard has been on previous dates where it didn't work out and they spent the next 6 months doing that. I don't think he meant that 6 months had passed between episode 2 and this. 16:24 This is one of the earliest hints that Raj doesn't like India, where he comes from. That becomes a recurring theme throughout the series. 16:52 That's what I thought. One meeting that didn't go as planned gets you fired? That particular boss isn't very good. Fortunately, he only appears in a few episodes and he's gone after season 2 episode 4. It's possible that he himself may have been fired by the president and the board of directors. 22:47 She does, but her other 2 kids really gave her headaches sometimes. The 4th episode is filled with things that are contradicted later on the show and in Young Sheldon. This mentions the dad having a "Temper," but in Young Sheldon he really didn't. The nuclear reactor story is shown on Young Sheldon but it happened a little different than the way she described it here. Also, they didn't have a dog. A dog in an important part of 1 episode of Young Sheldon but the dog actually belonged to the neighbors. Despite that, it's one of my favorite episodes It's a recurring theme that, though Sheldon and his mom are opposites, they truly love each other... as opposed to his siblings who seem to have no respect for their mom. Yeah, I got obsessed with Sheldon too. For a while, I had no desire to do anything but watch re-runs of The Big Bang Theory over and over, and then watch re-runs of Young Sheldon over and over... and I still do. It never gets old.

Cant wait for you to eventually watch the spin off
