Starting when Ras spits @ the 25:50 mark... even the way his verse is filmed is nod/throwback to the 1990s Spike Lee style of filmmaking. Spike Lee popularized the "Double Dolly Shot" (also known as The Crane + Dolly Shot). Spike would put both his actor AND the camera on Dolly tracks, which makes the actor appear to float (instead of walk), while everyone else is moving around normally, in the background. Coast Contra has masterfully recreated this effect in this video, during Ras' verse.
