@@Prince-eb8ll after makonnen released the original 'tuesday', drake asked permission to feature on it for the remix in this video, and makonnen said yes. then once the song was out and doing well drake basically extorted him - the deal was either makonnen signs to ovo and gets the feature for free but has to take down all of his previously released music, or he has to pay drake for the feature which he obviously didn't have the money for at the time. so makonnen signed the ovo deal, had to take down all his old music. then instead of promoting makonnen's music and putting out his records which is the whole point of a label, ovo delayed his follow up record from coming out for almost a year and by then the moment had passed. insanely predatory. totally squandered his potential.
