    This is useful. I decided to try a random nation, picked EA, and I got EA Hellheim. They're very similar to these guys, so this should be useful. I didn't play either of these in Dom 5.

    For some reason, I wouldn't have thought that Blur and Glamor stacked. That makes the Van's very hard to hit indeed.

    Sounds like it should be a fun game. Vanheim is a fantastic nation. Especially for SP. They tend to be a bit tough in MP because they struggle a bit with a competitive transition into the midgame. One key thing about SP is that powerful sacreds tend to carry you a lot further since it usually requires a bit of theorycrafting to counter a bless and one thing that the AI still struggles with is scripting mages. Interesting god choice. I like the rainbow idea and an imprisoned Eldest Dwarf is a fantastic choice, but I might point you towards experimenting with how the Vanhere's work with something like Blood Surge. Strong Viate is a very good choice to replace undying since it actually gives bonus HP. Defense Skill is a good choice to stack though. If you can work in an incarnate bless Blood Bond is legitimately insane since it triggers berserk without popping their glamour. Defense/Heroism is a good combo for using Vanherses so I might suggest leaning on them. Craft up some thug gear and go ham. Only other real critique is that I would prioritize magic scales as much as possible. You should be fine for SP but in an MP game you would likely struggle to keep up with research since every single one of your mages costs the earth and the sun plus you need to use them for everything under said sun since they are your military and your blood economy too. 235G for 9 research is paiiin. I'd probably go to cold 3 for another magic scale. Hell, I'd go so far as to take a serious look at the Allfather or the Blood Fountain or Idol of Sorcery just to see if I could get my scales to Magic 3.

    Thanks! Regarding the Magic Scales: My first two test drives were with Magic 3 and I realized that the combination of Owl Quills & Dreamstones seemed enough for me. I guess for MP you still want to max out Research point production harder.

    You were wondering about the cavalry unit who lost their mount in battle. It literally said in the message overview that 1 unit who lost their mount deserted or died.

    So does that translate to loss of mount = loss of the unit after battle? Or do I misread something there?

    @@Ic0nGaming Check out page 66 of the manual for info on mounts, it’s pretty elaborate. But basically speaking, If there’s another riderless mount available after the battle, the dismounted unit can use that one as a replacement and stay in the army. If not he has to try to make his way back home. If successful, you can recruit at a discount. If unsuccessful, you get the message you saw. Thanks for the continuing Dominions coverage!

    That sprite mod does look nice. But it also kills my pattern recognition. XD For a moment I was like: ooh, there's fancy new indy types? But no. I'm still wondering too about that lose a mount mechanic too, so if you find out let us know!

    My understanding, and I certainly could be wrong, but I think the rider makes it back to the province that it was recruited from and the next cav unit recruited there costs much less since you are only buying a new horse.

    Well to make things extra confusing my cavalrys without horses were back and in action for the next fight. My assumption is that they take some resource from the Province they are in to replace their horse after their victory. But that's just my current working theory.

    @@Ic0nGaming I second Ma C'tis (since i plan on playing them next ^^), and would also like to suggest MA Agartha. I really like their lore, but I struggle to deal with their almost complete lack of ranged units. (only two of their capital only units have "ranged" attacks of short-range boulders...)
