I'm almost 100% positive it sample's Cypress Hill's "Insane in the Membrane". I did check out "Come Back Home" thanks to your comment, but noticed that the kpop group's rapping sounds eerily similar to cypress hill edit: I should have read the other comments lol

I love how polar opposites the vibes of the two groups are! both are awesome, personally I'm a fan of young posse hip hop

INCREDIBLE, I nearly fell out of my armchair when they came up with Shimmy Shimmy Ya ... it's kinda Cypress Hill meets Wu Tang meets Westcoast gangsta rap style. The guy who directed the MV, Ben Proulx, actually returned for it - he already directed their debut, Macaroni Cheese, half a year ago. But when you dive deeper into Young Posse, you soon realize that they are more than just a quirky-minded rookie group. Listen to the B-sides of the XXL mini album ... all different styles, no skips. The rappers sing, the singers rap. They write a lot of their lyrics themselves, especially Sunhye, the leader (she's the one with the short hair). On top, they do have a great choreo and can perform live with surprising stage presence and stability while live singing/rapping. I am honestly impressed.❤👏👏👏

When I heard XXL, I immediately thought of Come Back Home by Seo Taji & the boys. I've never heard a beat like that from anyone but these 2 so I was surprised to hear them bring 1st gen of kpop back like that. I could talk about the song and mv for hours on end but imma 🤐. I loved it.

Magentic - Honestly I've been feeling a little bit of the group fatigue these days especially even with a company like hybe and how many they've debuted in such a short timeframe so I wasn't really looking forward to this group with any kind of expectation but I must say the song is impeccably crafted. It's been my head since the first listen. XXL -they are doing everything right for me so far. Like I said it's a risky play for them to debut with and stick with this sound in an era where much more Poppy music is doing well. But I think they'll find their audience if they stick with it because this really suits them and this MV is just absolutely nuts. I thought I'd seen it all but my jaw was dropped. I hope Ben keeps working with them cuz this alone is giving them such a signature style.
