This play highlights the fact that even at the highest level of basketball, players to not understand screening principles. After White #11 hands the ball to his teammate, he continues moving forward and does not allow time and distance for the moving defender to stop or change directions. When a defender is moving, 1-2 steps (based on his speed) must be permitted to stop or change direction to avoid the screen. Additionally, a screener may never initiated contact and move into an opponent. Both of those rules were violated on this play.
