Illa J & Andy Mac Give Ridiculously Good MPC Tips

Музыка

Illa J (J Dilla's blood brother) & Andy Mac were on the Andertons music gear channel. They dropped some gems that I didn't know about the MPC ecosystem.

Can you make a video on how to put Xpand!2, and zenology on mpc beats? I’m dragging the files and it’s not working. I’m trying to then auto sample the instruments to my mpc one +

Question 🙋‍♂️: I made a drumbeat exported it out of logic imported in on mpc. How to lay it down to sample something over it? Not as a midi which has to be triggered? Yo got me? ❤

Man, the lofi aspect of the Mellotron should be appealing to Hip Hop beat makers who are into that old record sampled sound; especially since the Mellotron uses samples of real instruments (at least the old school physical versions did. I’m assuming they’re keeping with tradition in regards to the up to date physical and software versions). Cats can make some of their own sampled loops using the Mellotron plug in.

With all due respect, I’ve been buying a workstation since 1990 and you really can’t beat the price. You can’t beat the technology from how far workstations have came since 1990 up to 2024 and that’s from experience the MPC 37 key is a head of time . From price point to technology do your research and I’ll explain why Kurzweil k2000. ASR 10, EPS 16 of course, my very first keyboard was the Ensoniq SQ1 Keyboard Workstation . I owned every one of those keyboards so I know what I’m talking about my flagship I have right now I would never give up and that’s my Yamaha motive XF7 and I have my very first keyboard and I’m keeping it. Trust me work around the BS when it comes to the ram storage or strip all that stuff man my 37 is a lil beast lol. I didn’t have to trade my moog lil fatty and my brand new Akai force which is still in the box for the 37 because God blessed me with my wife who just bought me the Akai mpc 37 tonight online ooooo weeeee hallelujah I thank God for a good wife lol. Bro you are the man I have much respect for you and your accomplishments and cut throat opinions . My man I love when you say f what your heard lol sounds just like my uncle Kelvin Ross when he’s about to get into beating that ass lol ! F WHAT YOU HEARD 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Akai needs to up the features fully packed with same plugins and kits and ram as the key 61 and then the 37 will be a solid little unit

Ave bro I need your help. I want to open the free edition of hype I got on my live2 in fl studio WITHOUT using the mpc software as a plug in. If that makes sense. I want to open hype as vst in fl alone no mpc. Does the free hype file allow me to do that or its just for mpc software. Been trying to figure it out but I'm to fresh to vst to understand this situation....

Yea thanks for the hit back. I found out the free instal for mpc is strictly for mpc only. It gets buggy when you open mpc as plugin in fl and try to use it with fls piano roll. I just have to produce the melody in mpc bounce to audio and drag it in. Not sure if it's worth buying it right now or just use it like I said. Good looks though.

My opinion about the video is a little different because they’re from Europe and work from America so we’re gonna have a different workflow and point of view when it comes the mpc it’s an OK video. I respect it but I’m bout to get in that ass trust and believe that when I get my mpc 37 . I’ve never made a video before but I will bring the noize . Bless you Bro --- F WHAT YOU HEARD

Rap music is taking a nose dive in popularity. This music is generic, the rapper is nothing special, it's just more of the same ol' same. We need very talented musicians and artists that aren't going to produce more of the same tired ass shit. We've heard it all before and we are tired ASF. We need the next Biggie, the next Tupac. Something.
