My uncle was a huge fan of Ill Bill. He got a lot of inspiration from his music and such. For me personally the song is almost too accurate. He was always like a big brother. He never made me feel like a dumbass kid. My uncle though did die of an overdose. Every time I hear this song I feel close to him. Cause it’s one his favorite artists. He was only 32. If I make it to the gates of heaven i hope you’re their uncle Stephen.

I lost my grandfather in April 2012 and this song came out a few months after that (Nov 2012). Used to bump it EVERY DAY after school. Shame this version never made it to the album

One love from germany, lost my father at a young age. This song brought tears to my eye. And people say rap is ignorant.

This song makes me think about my grandparents who died when I was very young which basically split my family apart. No matter where you are in the world, we all grieve together. Stay strong, friends.

This song always hits so close to home, I was raised by my grandmother, and my uncle was the only male role model in my life. I lost both of them 8 years ago, both to cancer, even though my uncle was an addict all his life, and there are so many parallels in this song its insane.
