Ilia Topuria spoke exclusively with inside Fighting's Andrew Capucetti in Las Vegas for UFC 290, where the UFC featherweight contender said he wasn't impressed by Alexander Volkanovski's win over Yair Rodriguez, and that he will finish Volk within one round when they inevitably fight. Topuria also says he doesn't think Volk is the best featherweight of all time, because he believes he himself is the best featherweight of all time.

Ilia has got heavy hands and good wrestling!
I never fully understand people's hate. When prime McGregor era, cocky fighters humbling each other out was the narrative people was looking for. And Topuria show himself this confident since the moment he put a feet on the UFC for the first time. So if he is faking it all along and he made this character, damn give the dude the Oscar. For me it's good to spicy the fight up, which is hard since Volka looks unbeatable. But this lad has been proving his words all along with facts inside the octagon, so it's not like he is being that disrespectful, I truly think he believes a lot of what he is saying. I know there are skills, and levels and sh** but the man has just battered Emmet the way you'd expect the division champ to batter him. If he is delusional and Volk delivers a humble down, we will get a funny 'when trash talk goes wrong' video. But if this crazy lil guy is remotely close to being right, just think of what a fight that could be. It's a win win.
