Appunto non sembrava un cambio Fuller. È incredibile ma ci sono tornato da Pescara fino a Perugia facendo il Colfiorito con la frizione rotta con un cambio Fuller, (autotreno, insomma camion e rimorchio per chi non è del mestiere.). Chi lo conosce credo abbia imparato a cambiare senza frizione dopo la partenza da fermo naturalmente. Le prime volte quando ho preso la patente CE ha 21 anni. Non riuscivo ha mettere neanche la prima grattate a non finire. Poi amando questo lavoro, perché solo per passione si può fare questo mestiere. Presi dimestichezza con il Fuller dell'otto cilindri Fiat turbo star 480 e le marce entravano da sole la quando entravano i due turbo compressori faveva veramente paura In accelerazione.. Nello specifico Era dotato di intercooler (aria-aria), è l'unico pesante stradale di quella categoria di peso che combina le quattro valvole per cilindro alla sovralimentazione con doppia turbina (Kkk K27). La difficoltà è che non era un cambio sincronizzato a parte per cambiare dalle basse alle marce alte e viceversa naturalmente. Eravamo in pochi a saper cambiare in quel modo in azienda, lo tenevamo per noi perché se no passavi da quello esperto della ditta gli invidiosi. Poi come tutte le cose belle in Italia hanno bloccato la produzione. Poi è arrivato il 520 sempre v8 ma non ha avuto lunga vita hanno trovato la stessa scusa per l'inquinamento. Dovevano portare avanti il progetto gli ingegneri Fiat... ma niente. Ma se era per questo anche l'otto cilindri Scania inquinava io ho imparato con quello, l'unica cosa che mi piaceva dello Scania era la posizione del volante come il volvo. Con lo sterzo in quel modo il turbo star stancava un pò alla lunga. Sennò il motore Fiat era a mio parere superiore. Lo si poteva vedere sulle lunghe salite in autostrada si spostavano addirittura, parlo sempre a pieno carico. Mi mancano quei tempi....non so voi.. Poi ci si aiutava tra autisti se vedevi qualcuno in difficoltà ci si fermava e si aiutava il collega ha cambiare gli pneumatici per esempio.. poi con un caffè, quattro risate e una stretta di mano era tutto a posto. E se si bucava portavamo in ditta il cerchione non era per niente leggero, compreso la tela che era rimasta attaccata...non si lasciava per la strada. Oggi vedo molto menefreghismo tra colleghi.
