The updates of smoke and flames in the interior look effective. The shell splash damage should include penetration rendering though...holes! not just scarring. This would add great immersion to what is becoming a great looking tank sim. Attention to detail will make this sim a real killer. 💥💥💥💨😵💨👍

Getting better and better!

The update info states "The level of detail of player controllable tank systems and their damage model is nearly final." This is worrying to me. While it dose look good in some areas, a lot is missing. When viewed from the outside, fires seam to only effect the engine compartment, when in reality ammunition fires were more common and were in the crew compartment. Fire from hatches, the turret ring, and sometimes from where the wheels meet the hull would look nicer to me. Randomness in the fires, and the presents of cook-offs would also be nice. The outside hit effects lack the depth of failed penetrations, and the soot looks too heavy. Inside the tank there is no hit effect for spalling or a penetration when the tank is penetrated. While small fires might be stoped by fire extinguishers, larger ones would result in the vehicle being abandoned. More smoke inside the crew compartment with fires or engine damage would be nice. I hope crews shouting at each other and reloading animations are added. Currently the game looks nice in many ways, and they have done a lot of amazing work, but I feel that they still have a ways to go. If they did go the extra mile, and gave the game all the time it needed, this game would be a world class tank simulator. Panzer IV ausf. F2 cannon is hitting T-34 and Sherman M4A2 in this video, this tank have 75 mm KwK40 L43 cannon and two 7.92mm MG13s

I don't have ideea if Panzer IV ausf F2 cannon should penetrare easy T34-76 or M4A2 armour, i'm unable to change enemy tank with more powerful tank to see different shell impact.

I highly doubt they will. I brought it up before on the forum (pre tank crew) and everyone freaked out on me. The flight sim community is a bunch of boomer pussies.

Same here , just comented it around ingame chat in the game and 2 dudes jumped out to me calling me sadic and shit lol , fucking stupid , when a crew memeber dies sometimes looks like hes still alive , and you wont see any blood in the tank / crew , just some little blood in the screen lol i hope they really change this to add more immersion , tank battles were and are brutal .

@@blackedelweiss601 that would be awesome detail if it was added in game. I don't know why the some of the flight Sim guys don't want it I mean they literally had gore effects for pilots when they died where it spread blood on the canopy back in the il-2 1946 game

Panther will be added in this game, i wish to see Tiger II.

I would like to see a tank "simulator" with the commander not standing body out of the hatch as if he was parading down friedichs strasse. How about movement up and down the hatch was done with mousewheel or strafe commands, so you could decide yourself how high you wish to be exposed in order to see the battlefield.

All avaible tanks: Pz. III, T-34/76, Sherman M4A2, KV-1s, Panzer VI, in my vid i used only first 3 tanks.

The commander is living little om the egde behind the empty shell basket

You can enable it with Enter key, this is a simple GUI for damage

Go to Missions and you find some missions there to practice with avaible tanks also click on tank crew and you see other 2 missions Ex: Reunion..., go to Quick Missions in game menu choose a map from right up corner and choose a mission and a tank from selected map, choose ground targets(tanks, vehicles) , this are practice missions, search in sturmovik forum for custom missions created by sturmovik forum members: forum.il2sturmovik.com/forum/112-single-player-missions-individual-and-packs/ you can install custom missions by moving the mission files in game folder -> Missions folder or Campaign folder.

@@pa4tim : ok well i got it on sale, i like a few weeks ago, haven't really jumped into it just a couple times here and there. I was trying to open the top hatch of the T34 but it wouldn't, guess it depends what type of tank it is yes? but it did open the driver's hatch in the front, like in that Movie T-34 cool movie, LOL... Thanks for ur feedback. Soon i will dive into it, but was thinking of buying a Joystick cuz the Tanks and Planes are very different from other play style games, guess I'm to use to War Thunder.

Go to Quick Mission, choose a map and a mission from the map, add ground targets or remove ground targets, choose tank T34-76 UVZ 1943, for tanks i use keyboard and for aircrafts i use joystick, for Tank Crew i have changed button keys, i'm using W,A, S, D to move the tank, but first you need to remove Autopilot from A key, i re-assigned autopilot to ctrl+A or shift+A if i remember corectly and i assigned the camera moving view keys to keyboard arrows keys, before changing W, A, S, D keys take a look which controls are default assigned for this buttons and remove them, use other keys for those.

I still can't "feel" the weight of the tank. They move move a bit like sports cars... Maybe it can be modded. But so far it looks like an awesome game.

If you play it you feel the weight of the tank, especially Sherman tank is hard to steer it left or right, T-34 is faster, Panzer 3 slower, depending on ground terrain (grass, snow, flat terrain)

Has anyone else noticed that the tank treads are going backwards?

@@DerDop I mean it does look better than warthunder in terms of quality. Warthunder doesn't even model interiors and the cockpits on their aircraft suck too they are very inconsistent on quality.

@@blueylucky6129 The mechanics and physics aspect of warthunder is certainly better though. This needs A LOT of polish to be great but the core is very good.

There is too much hitmarks. If on ap round hit armor, there should be one mark on tank, not 6 or 10 like now.

More tanks are shooting in Panzer III, not just one, different hitmarks from multiple tanks.

@@Geoweb35 Yes, but i saw the same effect on other videos from this game. One hit and many hitmarks from single hit. Its beacuse part of armor is changing texture to damaged - this damaged texture contain many hitmarks.

If your "lucky" your Pz. III get destructed with just 2 hits, is important tank pozition and distance from where enemy tanks hits your tank, in this vid i merged multiple scenes from interior and exterior, i wanted to show how different parts from Pz. III are damaged.
