Very bleak day today.. today marks the loss of a truly fantastic pilot, but.. I will say this, you did a really great job with this pilot. It's always a somber and painful experience and moment when you go down and your pilot is killed.. had it myself a lot of times in the past, but if you look at it from a Spartan point of view, your pilot dies fighting, went down with a sword in hand and before going down you killed a good few of your enemies. A great warrior dies but it's the fog of war, the fog of war decides not who is glorious, or who is the finest, it only determines who is left. It's been a great series, truly great.. loved it, looking forward to a new series in the future. Regardless thanks for a wonderful series, been ace. Keep it up mate 👏 👍

At the moment you spotted that enemy the right move would have been to immediately dive away from him. Let him chase you, the Zero isn't fast enough for that, and as you found out last mission the Hellcat can take absurd amounts of damage from the rear quarter. Once you get up to speed on the deck, then gain 2+ km distance and go for headons. That's always served me well against AI (and even some human) Zeroes in the past. Even so, the urge to turn into the attack is a strong one, and one that's gotten me more times than I'm proud of. Good run though, and I look forward to the next campaign!

Yeah as soon as I turned into the line of fire I knew something bad was about to happen. In all honesty I thought he was firing his machineguns at me but boy was I wrong. At the end of the day I've learned it's best to never assume anything in combat.

So much for the wingman but good going in a hellcat which isn't its best in 46 .
