You won't have much fun hiking in Stalingrad!

Bombing in WW2 was like shooting with early muskets. Tight formation, lots of arms, big targets, as close as practical.

Unless you're in an American bomber with a Norden bombsight. Far better than the relatively primitive Adler bombsight on the He 111.

I wouldn't say they had "big" targets. When your thousands of feet up in the air even an entire factory can be hard to hit.

Frankly, if I can just get my bombs to hit the ground I consider it an improvement of prior performance. 😳

Brilliant video! I love the change in pace from the normal flight sim vids about. Hope you are suitably proud of that landing, pretty much a three pointer, although the less said about the take off the better! Can't wait to see what comes next and its nice to see you end a flight without heading to see the nurses :-)

I see the practice of Tokyo Drifting into port in U-BOAT has served you well during this take-off!

BF110's were totally ineffective in combat against single engine fighters as they were just not as maneuverable. Great vid, thanks for sharing.

They had speed. Early versions were faster than bf 109. This plane was not supposed to dogfight. That was awesome, long range attack plane, but terrible escort.

Perhaps to much beers before take off, furthermore more episodes faster please, i realy enjoy them.

Woweee, that was a bit of a hairy take-off, Taff! I think you dropped a smidge early, but at least you got bombs on the target area. Bomb loadout: I think you'd be better with a bomb-bay full of 50kg HE bombs rather than that big 500kg and 4x250kgs. Back at base, the landing was an excellent flared landing, but off the runway. Your groundcrew would probably appreciate it if they didn't have to clean grass seeds out of your air intakes. However, this is another improvement on your previous missions, so if you follow this trend, the next mission should be a smash hit. By the way, to pronounce the word "kampfgeschwader": the first syllable "kampf" is straight forward. In the second syllable, the "sch" is pronounced "shh". The "w" is pronounced as a "v" in German. Incidenatally, "kampfgeschwader" is the German word for "bomber squadron"; a fighter squadron in German is "jagdgeschwader".

Congrats on a successful mission! You must have worked out all the waywardness with the takeoff :)

Loving it! The take-off was hilarious but what is this fixation with mowing the grass? I've had to speak with you about 'amateur tree surgery' before, now you can't even leave the daisy's alone? Or do you just hate the ground crew, who will even now be working to clear the air intakes and undercarriage of the local flora? By the way, firing a departing machine gun burst at the train; that's just plain mean! It's almost as though you are trying to hurt these people. Pax dude.

8:11 I know this is really late, but when you counted off for the wind angle you skipped over the mark under the 'N' so you were off by 10 degrees.

One last minute change to your airspeed (was 325) might have scored a direct hit. Good job tho! Cheers

That was an interesting takeoff Taff, but no bother, job done. I noticed that as a rookie you are a bit leery of close formation flying. That's understandable, but since you drop your bombs with flight lead, a bit tighter formation will improve your bombs on target, improving your score. Besides, a tighter formation will concentrate your defensive fire against attacking enemy fighters. If I was your squadron CO, I would assign you some more practice formation flying with one of your buddy ACs. Another thing, Taff, wandering around your aircraft to the gun positions is interesting, but your job is to fly the bloody plane!

TBH, I'd rather he focus a bit more on flying. Not much point to the mission if the bombs keep missing ;) I am enjoying the campaign though

So left control + c to switch positions, in a gunner position, T to take control of the gun and left shift + T to look through the sight. All in your controls menu 👍

i have to say i love you taff but why not put the other 20mm on its not really going to change anything just that if they score a hit it may take a wing off. please just tell me why you wouldnt?

I see a bit of aliasing, especially on takeoff on the background. Have you noticed this since the latest Patch? Just interested because I've noticed the same thing...

A stick is usually used. Though in this case some might use a yoke to emulate the 111s controls.

I used to play IL2 on Hyper lobby. Its A MUCH better game than war thunder.... is this community still active ?

That's the OLD version of IL-2, "1946." What Taff is playing is the "Great Battles" series. Hyperlobby is still active, although there aren't that many who play there. The other night I checked and there were 16 players. hyperfighter.sk/
