Ikebana: Flower Arrangement (Japanese documentary)
20-minute documentary about "Ikebana," the art of flower arrangement, showing a step-by-step demonstration of the creation of a flower arrangement by an expert at Ikebana. Nicely shot, with soft woodwind music underneath, and very gently narrated in English by a female narrator. This is from NHK and I believe it was made in the 1980s. Though a vintage film, it is none the less exquisite.
This video looks to have been made in the late 50's to 60's yet it explains so much compared to modern day videos , it inspires one to create a simple minimalistic and a sort of abstract piece of natures beauty , it's relaxing and yet afterwards visually enjoyable . It seems that this art isn't used enough today but needs to be revived , it might help people to enjoy life more . 5/27/20 . 🤔🌺

Hi...... lived in japan and took apprentices in koi, bonsai, master koi teacher....... displays tiny baby koi and says grand champion in five years.... before walking away no other explanation........can’t believe, so many thumbs down here, when teaching exact details given immediately.....btw......In five years grand champion,,,,,if you watched carefully you looked at changes and what to look for over time.this Video..... was reported as old.....in japan as in bonsai.....respected....valued......
