We owned this couch for 6.5 years (fam of 3). It used to be 100 bucks cheaper. We bought it thinking it would last maybe a year or two but we ended up getting much more out of it. When we did finally get rid of it, it was broken in several ways. All the armrest cushioning had slid off to the side of the couch pretty much. The slide out thing was broken. And the cushions had gotten so soft it hurt to lie down on cuz all you felt was the wood frame digging into you. LONG long term, def will wear out on you, but value wise, I give it A plus. We replaced it with a "nicer", better looking couch and I gotta say, I really miss this one. It was so so comfortable before it hit the 4 year mark.

6.5 years! Man, it was still under the 10 year warranty! We’ve had ours for 7 and the pullout broken. IKEA just replaced the whole thing!

Seriously they have a 10 year warranty? That's awesome and good to know 😁

@@ThingsIBuy they do. Just maintain proof of purchase. I did not, but they were able to look it up because I had it delivered. If you paid for delivery, they will deliver the replacement and pick up the damaged product, which I just learned. The customer service rep at my IKEA did the whole transaction just based on photos. I didn’t have to take the couch to the store.

Nice, I got mine delivered so I'll for sure be doing that if needed.
I owned this couch for 6.5 years with a family of 5 and a dog. In my case, I needed this specific couch because our living room is small. The couch held up pretty well for the first 2 years. After that, the pillows started deforming and the foam on the longer side began to lose its firmness. The pullout began unhooking from the bottom and pulling away. After 4 years, the arm rest on the longer side began to become lose and I had to constantly screw it back into place and the foam on the arm rests began to shift off to the side causing it to look deformed. After 6 years, the fabric between foam pieces began to unravel, and the arm rests, which I had assumed were solid wood, collapsed. I originally purchased the couch for $499.99. It is now about $300 more expensive. Yikes! I loved it and will be having a professional upholsterer recondition and improve it's structure. I haven't yet checked, but I'm sure he can do it for about the same price as a new one. I'll have the couch I so love, but with better materials and a sturdier frame.
I have my couch for 7 year and it’s still holding great❤❤❤❤
Thanks for this im looking to purchase
A always enjoy your honesty Cheers my friend

It's decently comfortable. A bed would be more comfortable. If you want versatility and utility It's worth it.

I mean, I definitely prefer my bed, but I have slept on this couch, and it was fine. It's more of a firm feel, so if that works for you, you're golden.
What type of dog do you have?

Brought same last week. For the price the built quality is inferior honestly. After screwing it bit tight wood got compressed a bit easily. Not sure how long it'll last. In India when we purchase furniture we expect at least 2 decades of lifespan on rough usage as we generally get furniture custom made by plywood which is high density hence super durable! I liked MALM bed as it was built well even though way cheaper than this sofa cum bed but this sofa cum bed is super expensive still not as strong as MALM bed!
