Our core pvp group left DA as we didn't get along with them and they didn't really see eye to eye with our pvp goals. Still the alpha was amazing and AA offered the best MMO experience I have had since lineage2 launch, DAOC, or the first few years of WOW. Field Command was rage.
Archeage
-Every ship is player made by materials collected and processed
-Every cannon ball is crafted by player gathered materials
-You use collected resources to repair your ships
-PVP matters in this game and it's amazing.
As we were getting ready to head back in the black pear by Shots fired appeared and the PVP continued. The pirates were much better organized and experienced than the others we had been fighting; however, we decided to stay and fight despite dwindling supplies. We ultimately lost to the pirates (Props to SF and FC for their naval combat skills) but still had a great time and enjoyed the PVP as always.
My main goal was purpose was knocking key players off enemy ships and trying to shoot stuff with crazy LOS in ship battles.
::: HOW THIS ALL STARTED:::
This all started with some reds (east faction) killing some of our fishermen and their boat. It led to a quick guild group, along with some friends (thanks to all who came!!), forming and heading east with a single ship. We were able to destroy 5 galleons and one black pearl along with raiding a group of 5 red fishing boats. After that a large group of reds challenged us to come back out to the sea.

Jessica Chen You can buy/sell supplies to earn gold. And there are people who become criminals/pirates to steal your trading supplies. So its all about gold in the game. Oh and the ship gets destroyed xP

great video, so far best i saw about sea battles.
This was amazing, Unfortunately I had to go log before the run in with the pirates, which seemed like a much better fight!
Also we had reds take our merchant ship (Dreded's) which contributed to a giant raid being formed for recovery/pvp.
This fucking game had a chance, they blew it.
So damn epicness here !

Man i fucked my back up and im missing beta with you pricks, I might attempt to sit tonight. 98% of DA aggression occurs when a peaceful act is being violated. This guild is very helpful with a great jovial collection of people. Iv hated crafting and fishing until this game made it cool.

Nice ship raiding! Quite the motley batch of people. Normally when people make a ship, they tend to keep it. You guys go into a fight intending for the ship to burn, so you take theirs before that happens. Interesting tactic. It's kinda like recovering full HP when you kill a guy in a fight in some cases.
So amazing! Jealous I had already logged for the night. :S

I'm so hard for Gangplank right now. The first thing I'm gonna do when I get this game and get a ship is yell, "PREPARE TO BE BOARDED!" as my guild and I board their ship.

Luke Araujo But doing this makes u a criminal. You gain criminal and infamy points. If u get too many u become a pirate, you are auto kiked from ur guild and everyone is your enemy.

Actually they called us out there for that fight. The fight in this video we were called out to come pvp. its not our fault they thinned out their numbers by having 3 boats open.
EPIC naval combat against freebooters on the high seas! This game will have the most epic pvp in any MMO... if your PC can take it :D. Mine can't unfortunately... :( Have fun guys! PS: the person at the helm of a ship is called "helmsman" not "driver". But i LMAO when i heard driver ! :D Also port=left; starboard=right; bow=front of the ship; stern=back of the ship. I wish ye wind in yer sails and booty in yer bow!

for navel stuff i believe u can take any of the mats they have on transit not sure as i have only read up on stuff and still learning but so far there is land pvp -just for fun unless they in transit with mats- land wars -dont know but i kept seeing danger lvl increases all the time so im assuming its important lol- navel pvp -just for fun and chance at stealing mats- and castle seige/territory -ur guild leader controls a whole part of the northern continent and they recieve taxes and can banish people who built stuff there- and thats all ive seen so far so basically u cant steal peoples main source of gold and take no labor point cost in doing so -as labor points is used for basically everything-

Too bad this game is COMPLETELY dead now. I remember eagerly awaiting its release and being so disappointed in everything at launch.
The view is terrible. Zoom in zoom out dart to left dart to right... what's wrong with this game ? makes me feel sick just looking at those screen movements.
