One key ingredient not mentioned, the variety of syrups at IHOP. The butter pecan syrup is spectacular, makes your pancakes taste like candy :-)

Everyone I know that has been to Denny's has went there in some altered state of mind. I don't think I know anyone who has been there sober lol

I went through a phase where I didn't like syrup on my pancakes either, just butter! Lol

They didnt even include the variety of syrup at IHOP or the specialty pancakes. That's the best part!

Dennys is where you go to fight the manager for ownership of the denny's, Ihop is where you go with your grandma for brunch

Many years ago I worked as a cook in both IHOP and Dennys. I can tell you the quality of ingredients were far superior at IHOP and in my opinion this translated to better tasting food at IHOP. I always felt like Dennys tasted like fast food and IHOP tasted like a more casual dinning restaurant experience.

At breakfast at Denny's a few months ago. Was one of the best breakfasts I've had. Wonder if it just depends on your locality

I have to say, Cracker Barrel is my favorite diner.
