@@jaredfontaine2002 Edge 530 in the UK ranges from 200 - 300 GBP in the uk at the moment. I've used one, not a great amount, and its very similar to this. I guess the igps 630 was sort of aimed to be a cheap 530 rival.

@Peak Torque You are not really saving anything it seems. For $20 more you get strava live maps, rerouting and Garmin eco system. If the computer you were talking about was $150 to $140 it would make sense. Bryton was my favorite company as their computers are half as much as the big brands but you miss out on features
Garmin could really do with some competition to get them out of their apparent complacency, so I welcome things like this.

Totally. It's on full throttle
Used Wahoo bolt for ages, crashed and needed a replacement, wanted a larger screen but don’t wanna spent a whopping $600 plus on a gps, got this on Amazon about $260 instead, couldn’t be happier, signal reception is excellent here in Canada, pages and setting interfaces/UI logic need some time to get used to though. One complain is their customer support on youtube, they are either stupid or rude to reply my inquires in their way, but product wise, this thing is unbeatable, especially the zombie like battery life.
Does Preston Trader ride with an aero flat cap?
There are two problem in this product. 1. The app tend to unable finding my destination by search, even the map is already has the name of the location. 2. The device cannot re-route your position if you are making a wrong turn or make an alternative detour. I'm fine with number 2, but number 1 is the most annoying things. I have to use another app to plan my route and then transfer to igpsport app, and finally send it to the device. If only the app is able to link or accept google maps link, it will be perfect. because google maps work very well in my location.
Huge fan of the whole iGPSport range. Cannot fault the functionality of the 630! You should check out the 320 too. No maps but a 72h battery. The perfect headunit for commuting.

The only thing that pisses me off is, if you start a gpx route on navigation but don't start at the start point. Then it gets so confused!

@@gplama that's usually correct. Half the stuff isn't worthy of a video. Either due to the hardware/software being crap or the attitude of the person sending it is odd. But this one surprised me, early days but it's value is hard to beat. The only annoying thing is that when following a gpx, if you have a different start point, it gets a bit confused!

I have to thank you for introducing this cycling computer to me, since I have been searching for one and have kept putting off buying a Garmin 530 for a year now. In Asia, the price difference between the iGS630 and Garmin 530 is enormous. The bundled unit for the iGS630 costs like ~$240 while the Garmin 530 bundle is priced at ~$380. Massive difference!
My neck of the woods. Have you gone on holiday by mistake?
I Like Ur browthers Akzent alod
Coospo is about to bring out one similar this year and suspect it will be a lot cheaper than the 630s. The 630s here in australia is $420, still way too expensive.
I had an igpsport 618 for three years until the USB port gave up. The battery life was pretty well toast too. Other than that it was a solid performer for my need and I like the option to have the white numeral on the black screen which is not common in budget bike computers. I did find the connection to phone a bit flakey so hopefully that's improved on the new models. The 630 looks good. Its not as commonly available as the lower end models which is odd.
I'm a big fan of using phone apps and a quadlock out front mount pro. I like being able to control music, use proper navigation apps, see messages etc. The water on phone screen thing can be annoying as you mentioned, but that's the only downside IMO.

Can your charge this device while it's on. Also, can you charge the device while you're using it on rides?
Garmin refused a warranty repair n my 520+ which died TWO DAYS after the 2 year warranty ended. Proper raging, will never buy garmin again.
Yooooo when is the ENVE Wheel Review video getting released? :)
Couple of years ago I went with a wahoo unit very happy with it. What I liked was the turn by turn navigation rather than the bread crumb. I did baulk at the price. My feeling is both Garmin and wahoo need competition. At this price I would not be so upset if it were to be bricked of the dropped support. At some point I am going have to see if they can be hacked as the security on Garmin is shocking. Garmin managed to be hacked about 3 years ago, no idea if it was a ransom attack. So no more secure

I bought an early IGS 618 about 5 years ago. The battery is still really good lasts for several long rides and when it needs charging is does so amazingly fast. Also it always records your ride. No forgetting to start it the correct mode. My only complaint is the poor navigation but it looks like they have improved that on this new model. I had 3 garmins prior to this and they were pains in the ass!

How you like IGPS app? I see it being the main complaint, being buggy and having some issues with syncing... Nevertheless, overall the whole lineup is good on features, from the budget IG10S (and new bsc100s) which already offers so much more than the basic Garmin, or any other competitor really. The 620 I see people say it improved from the 618, and now the 630 is a huge jump.
No Strava live segments worth paying double for a 1040 rather.
yes but is it as aero as my wahoo haha
Can I upload the tracks directly from Kamoot/Strava into it?
My question is, can you import routes from Ride with GPS and Kamoot onto this device? If it only lists supporting Strava and TrainerRoad, then how do I get my route data files on it (if I dont use Strava)? I am thinking about getting this as an affordable multi-day bikepacking computer, and quite frankly I just cannot get the Garmin 1040 Solar at this time (which is what I really want due to its extended battery time for long trips). The battery on this budget unit seems better than most other options. Just need to know hiw I get route files on it if the unit doesn't support many third party mapping apps.

Im not sure about that - i use thr wireless strava connectivity which is flawless. But - you can manually add any gpx file via usb though.

What was this accent during the first 3 minutes of the video ? :D
I've got the Lezyne mega XL. Getting a bit tired but still a tank. Looking at this unit now... for the money unbeaten. Also considering the Magene stuff. Battery life is equivalent of being marketed "wide tyre clearance" IMO. I'd never pay for a Garmin with solar tech simply to mask it's anaemic battery. Besides most people I ride with top spec GPS climbPro sat nav radar mad etc are only tagging along for a cafe run 20km all in 150m elevation!

I have the 620 model and it's the worst POS I've ever used. The display is only readable a few hours in the late morning, the current speed is basically random, temperature sensor is always wrong, the maps are worthless, etc. The list of wrong is too long to get into in a comment. The battery is quite good though. I'd never buy another.

@@glennoc8585 the avg and max speeds seem reasonable in their mobile app but in strava they're obviously off (especially the max speed). That their mobile app has reasonable values says the developers know what's up, which makes it worse to me.
