    Heck yeah Randy thanks 🙏 for sharing all in one video. I have heard you mention these separately or here and there but I’m glad you brought them all together in one video. I actually took a screenshot of all 8. 😃 As you know I am from the east side of the United States 🇺🇸 and for 5 years or more have wanted to get out west, especially on a pronghorn hunt let alone a mule deer 🦌 or elk hunt, etc… I wish that I could do more than one trip. But I probably will do that Wyoming pronghorn and mule deer 🦌 hunt that I have been talking about for years now. 2024 HAS to be my year to FINALLY get out west on a hunt. 🙏

    good video Randy I have been planning my hunts for the next 4-5 years. Im going thru the cycle of building 3-4 points in 3 different states for mule deer so I can go out on a decent muley hunt every year. In off years (if im a point short) hunt cow elk, prong, or OTC bulls. Being a CO resident 3-4 resident mule deer points can go a long way

    I wonder if there will eventually be a point crash because the average age of hunters skewing older, mostly boomers. Will high point holders be aging out or passing away?

    I’ve wondered the same thing! I know a lot of guys that will likely take their points to their grave. It’s SOMETHING to incentivize the younger generation to build points who otherwise wouldn’t draw for 30 years on limited entry type hunts.

    How many of those max points holders are even alive. Maybe a family member has taken over there account and plan on point sharing

    Holy smokes Einstein! I might as well be rubbing two sticks together. I look at the units that are in reasonable driving distance from my house and the number of tags and species and that's about it. I pick the units I know my way around in a little and the highest number of tags but I don't leave my state of Az to hunt.

    Nope. Some like to say that’s my motivation. I’ll never have enough points to leap over the tens of thousands with those high point totals. I’m happy to hunt 1-5 point units the rest of my life. I just want people to have as much information as possible.

    Some of the double digit holders should share with single digit holders. They would have a buddy or family member to hunt with. No sense taking your points to the grave

    How can I hunt rifle elk in, let's say Colorado, each year and also accumulate preference points in Colorado? Is OTC tags the only option? I'm a nonresident. Thanks for all of your outstanding info, especially this recent series.

    @HuntFishColo so that will get me a point and also allow me to potentially draw my 2nd choice tag? Last year was my first time entering the draw and I got my 1st choice w zero points but it was one of the super high odds units, almost 100% for nonresidents. I'm very new to draws and points management. I appreciate the info.

    What is the source of some of this data, especially point-holders and double-digit point holders? It seems like only one or two states even provide this, so I don't see how you would cross-compare to other states on that basis.

    Being out east I enjoy the content. But my friends out west say that the KZread channels and apps are what are making tags so hard to get. I’m starting to lean that way too because all the otc tags I wanted as a young man are draws now. Life was better when land lines where the way to get information.

  • @HuntFishColo

    Partially right - but game agencies policies favoring Residents/ Outfitters when it comes to tag allocation is driving that trend

  • @BadKarma.-

    @BadKarma.-

    It 100% is adding in making tags harder but that isn't on the Content Creators and more on the states and the things they do. Doesn't make sense to be mad about more people trying to get tags, aren't we all on the same team of hunting and conservation? Why gatekeep it? And thats coming from a guy that dreams of hunting sheep and goat lol

  • @MichiganPublic

    @@HuntFishColo shouldn’t they favor the resident? I mean anyone making money (outfitters,KZreadrs, app creators) should be subjected to the left overs in my opinion. The guy saving for a once in a lifetime trip is being priced out more and more every year. Because of the apps and free KZread knowledge. Hunting shouldn’t be easy, shouldn’t be a rich man’s sport Or an instagram opportunity.

    @@BadKarma.- depends on the motives. Look at what Chris bee did to Kansas with one video. I’m a big fan of his as well just sayin. I’m not mad just sticking up for the residents that don’t watch this stuff. Imagine going to the spot you’ve hunted for years, after scouting all season and seeing 4 different states license plates in the parking spot. That wasn’t happening 10 years ago. I’m from Michigan so I’ll never know but I can imagine the feeling
